(read till the end, might save you some euros) I recently visited this place for dinner along with my husband on the last day , last meal of my Europe tour (12th day). Coming straight to the point the food was average although the portion size was great. We ordered for a pizza and a penne pasta along with two drinks (coke). When the bill arrived i saw a component called coperto which apprantly is a charge for using the cutlery at the restraunt. This is over and above the local govt taxes. Like i mentioned it was my 12th dinner in europe and maybe 5th Italian dinner but i did not pay these charges anywhere. I think it's the duty of the restraunt to inform visitors or atleast when asked abt it they should politely explain what it is. My experience was really bad bcos when I asked them they were very very rude and asked me to use google. It isn't a 5star restraunt or something and upon asking ppl in the hotel and around the same area they said that mostly 5star hotels charge this fee. Again, this is a great food for portion size, taste is average but u can surely save some euros by skipping this place and gng to any other Italian or Asian restraunt. Please note, it was my most expensive meal in Europe (bill attached).
It costs nothing...
Read moreBeen there a couple of times. Although the food is good, but service is awful. Last time we came in a family of four: 2 adults, one child and one baby at 3PM on Saturday. The restaurant was 70% empty, but the waiter suggested that we sit at a very small table in the corner for 2(!) persons, where he "generously" put the third chair. When we asked for a bigger table for four, noting that almost all places are empty, he started to murmur something like "there will be more people coming and because of you there will be lack of places". We insisted to have a bigger table. Needless to say that at 3pm the restaurant was and remained almost empty during the whole time we spent there. Very strange behavior, which was already noted by other...
Read moreI had an amazing time at Modena. The staff were extremely friendly and spoke decent to good English. The food was incredibly delicious although the price was quite low. I had soup for starters which was of high quality and was able to wet my appetite. I had lasagna al forno for main course and this was of high quality also and was well made. My desert was an Italian desert and had very balanced flavours. The menu had a wide variety of options for pizza's, pastas and wine (vino in italian) but also had more casual drink and dining options. I am writing this review the day after I ate there and I cant overstate how good of a time I had at Modena. I would highly recommend this...
