The Golden Harp - Irish Pub Simmering — Restaurant in Vienna

I've just been charged €35 for a beer, a guinness, and a snakebite. either this is the most expensive pub in vienna or i've been ripped off. either case is a strong reason to avoid this place.

My review says i consumed 10-20 PER PERSON. We were 3 people. Each of us had one drink, i paid for all, and i paid €35. This makes it 11.66 per person, in other words, 10-20 per person for a single drink each.

I have not been issued a paper invoice, i've been told that my total is €35 and i paid it because i have no reason to think your employee would be trying to rip me off.

This point sounds like you are trying to imply it is somehow my fault, but i will answer nonetheless. I have no idea how much a beer, a snakebite, and a guinness cost at your bar. The waiter was not coming to our table for a long time and when we already needed to leave, i simply walked up to the bar and paid for my friends and for myself. I had no idea how much am i supposed to pay, and that's why i couldn't tell the waiter that the bill is too high and i simply paid what your waiter told me to pay. Then we left and within the conversation i mentioned how much i paid and my friends told me that this is simply way too much. This unfortunatelly happend when we were already almost home and i would not return back at that point for a couple of euros.

Despite you implying that it is my fault because i paid without protesting, i gave you 1 star review because i find this completely unprofessional. I am very upset. I have been to two other Golden Harp locations and loved them, but not this one. I went in, high hopes after my previous experiences, found a weirdly short menu with very few options on it and had to settle for something I didn't originally want to eat. I got a sandwich and left off the onions. It took forever for the food to get there and lo and behold, what's in the sandwich? Onions. As well as tomatoes, lettuce, and cucumbers. NONE of which had been listed on the menu and none of which I like. I ordered this sandwich purely because I would only need to leave off one ingredient. The waitress came by to ask how everything was and if there were any problems and actively kept walking while we were informing of the problem and getting completely ignored. I had to scoop out an entire salad that I did not order and that was not on the menu and it changed the entire flavor of the sandwich negatively. When we finally payed and the waitress asked how everything was again, we mentioned that there were in fact onions, which I had specifically asked to not get and she denied it and said there were no onions. There were many onions. We told her that and she said she'll ask the cook. She comes back, still insisting that there are no onions. This experience ruined my entire day and was horribly disappointing after I'd been looking forward to going to a Golden Harp Pub again. I was outside waiting for a waiter to get an order for almost 10 minutes and when she get out on my call also my friend came eating small bun (finger with salt). Waiter told to my friend that he cant eat there as they are restorant. He told her he is diabetic and he will just take a last bit and we will order food and beers - when he took that bite she went into berserk mode starting yelling on german. I have appologise to her 10 times and sad that he is diabetic and he needs to eat someting and we just wish to order food and beer but she refuse to serve us.
