Regrettably Disappointing Dining Experience
Review:
★☆☆☆☆
It is with a heavy heart that I pen this review for Weinhof Zimmermann, as we were genuinely excited to enjoy a family dinner at this highly recommended place. However, our anticipation was quickly marred by the incredibly poor service we received.
Our experience started off with us waiting for a table for 15 minutes, which in itself wasn't so terrible. However, our anticipation quickly turned into dismay when we were shown to a table that was clearly not cleaned properly. Despite the visible food crumbs and stains, the waiter did not seem concerned and instead brushed off our valid discomfort.
If that was the only issue, we might have chosen to overlook it. However, our waiter's attitude took an unexpected turn for the worse when it came time to order. Instead of showing patience and good grace, he demonstrated an unprofessional level of impatience and rudeness. To add insult to injury, he literally tossed the menu at us - a behavior we found incredibly offensive and absolutely unacceptable. We considered leaving but decided to stay, hoping for some improvement in the service.
Regrettably, the rest of the evening did not improve. At every turn, we were met with the same disregard and rudeness. The culmination of this woeful experience was when the waiter exhibited a disrespectful demeanor while presenting the bill, making us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.
It's truly a shame that such potentially wonderful gastronomic experience was overshadowed by a lack of basic hospitality. We believe that every customer deserves to be treated with respect and professionalism, and we certainly did not experience that at Weinhof Zimmermann.
Our visit was not just disappointing, but quite frankly, a letdown given the reputation of this establishment. While the food may attract patrons, the quality of service is equally important. We hope this review helps bring about a change in the staff attitude towards customers. Until then, we find it hard to recommend Weinhof Zimmermann for anyone looking for a pleasant and respectful...
Read moreWhat a pity! The place and location are very nice, however not so the staff. It seems to be a great honor to be served drinks in the first place. It was impossible to get a small grape juice mixed with water (which is fine), but the waiter told us so in a quite rude way, like we asked for something outrageous. Continue with the food, which traditionally you get from the buffett. The lady there seemed genuinely annoyed and couldn't be bothered at all, was very unfriendly and just gave snappy responses. On top of that, some of the food we got had already gone bad. That would be fine if they had peoperly apologized, replaced it and maybe gave us some free extra. No, not a single word of apology, but rolling eyes instead. We were however allowed to replace the food ourselves. The rest of the food and the drinks were really good though, and the atmosphere in this Heurigen is very nice and traditional. Maybe they just had a bad day. We'll think twice before coming...
Read moreVery nice location, but "Viennese service", meaning extremely rude waiters. Not helpful in finding a table, sent us from one to the other until we complained and got shouted at and told names. Such aggression should not be rewarded, we left - in principle this could be a nice place, but like many crowded Heurige in Neustift, it has becom expensive and neglects service 100%. A no-go for me as well as my friends from now on!
