wan-waan thaifood — Restaurant in Wels

After coming few times and spending up to 50€ every visit, i’ll never go again simply bc of the lady’s attitude. Food is good but doesn’t matter if customers aren’t made to feel good.

Came in last week, I was the first one there with my mom and friends. The lady gave my mom a dirty side eye bc she only ordered an appetizer. Ignored my friend who wanted to pay. And raised her voice snapping at me with an attitude when I was listing my orders for her to give me a total to pay… mind you my bill alone was like 30€, it wasn’t like we were there ordering one meal to share. We were the first to come and spent a lot but greeted with such an attitude, oh but to locals (or seeming white people) she was all smiley and friendly, even talking nicely.

To give a bit of credit tho, the lady’s daughter is always nice but still we decided to never visit again.. there’s a better Thai place in the city anyway with a whole lot...

What fantastic food they make!! And it's all fresh ingredients, all prepared basically "from scratch" using absolutely zero "ready made meals" in the process. They cut it and fry it especially for you. How do I know? Because the kitchen area is visible from where we were seated and nothing escaped my curious eye :-) I watched a master at work!

The only negative is that you have to be rather patient if you arrive in the midday hours (4 til 6). These guys are literally so good at making food that they are "victims of their own success". There's more people ordering than one person can deal with! So you will wait circa 30 minutes to eat, maybe more.

But if you're free before such late hours? Don't hesitate, get in there...

It's a small place, not fancy at all. You get your own drinks from the fridge. The staff speaks well German. They are nice and helpful. I loved the food. I loved the service. I loved the atmosphere.
