Da Plantation Bar & Grill — Restaurant in New Providence

Short review: ++awesome food + fair prices - average service.

This a really cool place to catch some food. When we arrived there were plenty cars parking already, but there was no problem finding a parking space.

We got our table quickly, and ordered: the plantation burger ($16) with Cajun fries ($4) shrimp tacos ($18) with Cajun fries ($4)

As many reviews already pointed out, it took some time till our drinks and food arrived. The food was really tasty, although the Cajun fries were a little bit too salty for my taste. Nevertheless I enjoyed the meal.

The service was average till poor. My girlfriend ordered another drink when eating. The drink arrived when we finished our meal. We asked for the bill and wanted to drink the last sip talking to each other, when the waitress was already starting to clean up our table and waiting for her getting done the drink, because she wanted to take the glass with her. That was a no go for us.

To sum up: it's a good restaurant to get your food. So catch up some, if you can deal with average/bad service. Prices...

0 stars if I could. Service sucked. Music was too loud. Had to go to the bar for drinks because the waitress took forever to get to us. I asked for a glass of rosé and instead of the bartender telling me they were out of rosé, he poured a pink moscato instead. We went with a group and ordered chicken wings and a chicken quesadilla when we arrived. 30 mins later, a friend arrived and ordered. He got his food and drink right away. 30 mins later, we were still waiting. Had to call the waitress over and ask her what happened to our order. She didn't actually put our order in. She apologized and said that she would put our order in as we were talking to her. 30 mins later our wings arrived. Still no chicken quesadilla. It still hasn't arrived.

Edit- chicken quesadilla arrived and was devoid of seasoning. It was literally just tortilla, cheese, and chicken. No onions, peppers, salt, nothing. They were also apparently out of sour cream. Chicken wings were terrible.

I will never go back to this place. There are much better places in Nassau to spend...

The service was extremely slow! Due to this, we canceled several items from our orders after only 1 part came out, and we were waiting too long for the rest. Some of us ordered only an entree and a beverage and waited over an hour. Our party was big but our visit was not high peak time. It was an afternoon during the week. While the wait staff were pleasant, they were unfamiliar with their menu options and unattentive. We requested items like napkins, cutlery, and extra plates, which we eventually got after asking again every 10 minutes or so, which means when some of us finally got our food, we couldn't eat. The wait staff never came back to check on our table, only to bring orders. However, a gentleman did a few times, I assume he was the manager or owner. As for the food, it was fairly ok, but why their fettuccine is served spicy is beyond me. Everyone does not enjoy spicy food and fettuccine is not a spicy dish. Spice/pepper should be offered as an option on the side. We obviously were not pleased...
