Geethanjali Restaurant — Restaurant in Bahrain Island

Such a delightful place. From the outside, it doesn't look big at all but once you step inside, it opens up into quite a large place. The place is decorated with old pictures, everyday objects and other items that define olden days Bahrain (some I can still remember and I'm not THAT old!). Seating is traditional wooden benches and there is even a resident budgie. I came for breakfast and the portions were generous. There is a traditional baker attached to the place so the bread comes fresh and hot. The sweet milky tea known as "chai karak" is delicious. I simply love this place and will come again for lunch or dinner. The only issue I can think of is parking. Being an older area of town, it can be very difficult to find somewhere to park all day long so it might be easier to park further away and walk. I don't think they take credit or...

Just saw this restaurant yesterday while we were walking. We decided to have dinner in this restaurant.. We ordered thosai, idli along with mutton chettinad and chicken kadai. The foods were very nice, tasty and freshly cooked. The restaurant staffs were so accommodating and making sure their customers are happy.

Just FYIR - I did ask the feedback with few customers whom sitting next tables about this restaurant and service, their feedbacks were positive.

Good was good, but I didn't see any Bahraini people. And no, the cook is not Bahraini either. When you claim an authentic food, you have to have authentic people making it. The place is hot from the inside. They need more ACs inside. The bread was good and fresh from the oven. Kibda was good and so was the eggs. The egg with beans wasn't so good. Tea was not real tea.
