This is my first time trying Thai , and my girl has been around Thai cuisine for a very long time . Iam hooked with the Tom yum goong nam khon soup(words don't do justice, grandma's really know a thing or two on making hearty soups) . She says it's the best in the island. I dont doubt a word she says when it comes to food.
THE EXPERIENCE:
Parked behind Dasman for a fee of BHD0.300 per.hr . Brief 7 minute stroll across the signal and onto the next street . Took a right and on the right side found this along with many other eateries . The place smelled clean and everything was kept great .there is a sense of tidiness to the place that is unexpected of when you consider the location . The waitress who was rather busy left us alone with the menu and was polite and nice . After placing our order (we requested for no shrimps and they informed us that everything was prepared to the order and it can be made however we want . Yaay. ) , the delivery wait was about 20minutes , considering they prepare fresh for you ,I was more than happy to wait for my food . It was amazing with all the tantalizing smells around and by the end of ten minutes I had worked up an even bigger appetite.
Food arrived soon . Tum yum soup was incredible . I can't explain . Must try . We opted spicy and it was the best thing ever . Red curry was perfectly cooked and pleasing to look at . Missed the photos because the food was so appealing . Sticky rice and everything was absolutely gorgeous .
All in all spend a good half an hour - 45minutes trying to finish the food . And there was so much left we had to parcel them .
The bill came to a BHD 6.5 for two . I think this is because we're light eaters.
This is the best I have spend on food so far and also the first review that I was determined to write after having been to so...
Read moreBack in February, I was in Bahrain for a business trip and stumbled upon a Thai restaurant that completely blew me away—honestly, I wasn’t expecting much, but this place delivered on every level.
Let’s start with the Tom Yum. This wasn’t just soup; it was a full-on experience. Rich, bold, tangy, and perfectly balanced with that signature Thai heat that warms your soul without burning your face off. The portion? Massive. Packed with plump shrimp, veggies, herbs—you name it. You could tell the broth had been simmered with actual care, not just thrown together for the sake of a menu item. I could’ve sipped that soup for hours.
And the fried rice? Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Fluffy, flavorful, and loaded with ingredients—not a single dry bite in sight. It had that perfect wok-charred aroma, like it had actually been cooked in a real Thai kitchen, not some generic back room with soy sauce and hopes.
The portion sizes were generous enough to feed two people (or one very happy me), and the price? Completely reasonable for the quality and quantity.
Honestly, this place was a total gem. If you're ever in Bahrain and craving real Thai food that hits all the right notes, do yourself a favor and go. You...
Read moreI have only been to Thailand once but I can attest to the authenticity of this restaurant. It’s like being taken back to the Land of Smiles with every bite of their Spicy Sea Clam and Chicken Basil Top Rice (Kra pao) plus Thai Milk Tea that I ordered. All of them are a delight to my palette. Definitely will be back whenever I get the chance to come back to Bahrain. The staff are friendly and welcoming as well. Cash, card and Benefit Pay are accepted here. The only downside I see is the lack of parking especially during busy hours and even if you find parking it will be paid but what is a couple of fils to these scrumptious meals. I also ordered Pad Thai and Panang Seafood Curry for takeaway with the expectation of the same caliber to what I...
