I recently had the pleasure of dining at Papillon Restaurant in Manama with my friends MJ and Rakesh, and it was an experience to remember. This elegant restaurant, known for its exquisite cuisine and inviting ambiance, exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for an enjoyable evening.

The decor of Papillon Restaurant is chic and modern, with a touch of sophistication. The interior design features stylish furnishings, soft lighting, and tasteful artwork, creating a cozy yet upscale atmosphere. The seating is comfortable, and the layout allows for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings. We were seated promptly, and the staff made sure we were comfortable, offering us menus and taking our drink orders with a friendly demeanor.

The menu at Papillon is a culinary delight, offering a diverse selection of dishes that cater to various tastes. We started our meal with a selection of appetizers, including the Lobster Bisque and the Beef Carpaccio. The Lobster Bisque was rich and creamy, with a perfect balance of flavors that highlighted the freshness of the seafood. The Beef Carpaccio was beautifully presented and melt-in-your-mouth tender, accompanied by a tangy dressing that enhanced its taste.

For the main course, I opted for the Grilled Lamb Chops, while MJ chose the Pan-Seared Sea Bass, and Rakesh went for the Filet Mignon. My lamb chops were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, with a delightful rosemary-infused sauce. The accompanying mashed potatoes were creamy and smooth, and the grilled vegetables added a nice touch of freshness to the dish. MJ’s sea bass was equally impressive, with a crispy skin and succulent flesh, served with a zesty lemon butter sauce that complemented the fish beautifully. Rakesh’s filet mignon was a true highlight, cooked to his exact specifications and served with a rich red wine reduction that elevated the dish.

One of the standout aspects of our dining experience at Papillon was the impeccable service. The waitstaff were attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring that our glasses were never empty. They struck the perfect balance between being attentive and allowing us to enjoy our meal and conversation uninterrupted. Their professionalism and genuine hospitality added greatly to the overall experience.

The dessert menu at Papillon offered a tempting array of sweet treats, and we couldn’t resist trying a few. We shared the Chocolate Fondant and the Crème Brûlée. The chocolate fondant was decadent and rich, with a molten center that oozed out as we cut into it. The crème brûlée was creamy and smooth, with a perfectly caramelized sugar crust that added a satisfying crunch to each bite. Both desserts were the perfect end to a wonderful meal.

In addition to the excellent food and service, Papillon also boasts a well-curated wine list and a selection of handcrafted cocktails. We enjoyed a bottle of fine red wine that paired beautifully with our meal, enhancing the overall dining experience.

They've recently renovated their resturant. Its clean and the seats and tables are all far apart from eachother keeping in line with the local covid restrictions. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious and very well priced as are the drinks. The ground floor may not be particularly family friendly especially on the weekends due to the low pricing sometimes attracting the wrong crowd but they do have a family section upstairs and female employees if you still wish to visit with your family. Lots of bachelors and local residents visit the places. I have lots of great memories in this place. Meena is especially a very nice host as are the other waiters who always help...

I was so impressed with my evening friends get together last night. We tried the Fish 🐟 tava fry,Chicken 🍗 lollipop,Rava fried 🍤 prawns & Dragon chicken and mix grill Food was amazing very nice presentation and so yummy , especially I like there a kind of chutney which they are serving with chicken lolipop.
