Secret Recipe Khilgaon Standard — Restaurant in Dhaka Metropolitan

For my birthday me and my family went here and oh my God it was perfect.

I never seen staff this friendly before. The environment was so comfortable and relaxing -w-

The fish and chips were pricey but they're extremely high quality!

Also their coleslaw was really fresh, highly recommend.

Their fries were noticeably higher quality than normal fries and were fairly portioned.

The squid tasted great, if I had to describe it. Imagine chicken but with a little sea food after taste and it's slightly more chewy.

I got the medium rare ribeye steak. Also absolutely delicious. I never had beef that tasted like that before. It was perfectly cooked!

Their chicken steak was incredibly juicy, tender and flavorsome. Honestly might be my favorite.

The bass tasted okay. It doesn't have that strong as a fishy taste to it which I like. Would prefer it being more seasoned.

Their toast tasted decent. Nothing too special.

Their rice was surprisingly high in quantity and tasted delicious.

Their sauces all tasted great. My favorite was the BBQ sauce.

Overall this place is amazing, it did cost around 5000 taka but since it was a special occasion. It's justified :)

Would 100% celebrate here again.

Also I forgot to mention but I had their cakes before, it's amazing everyone should try it. And they also had mushrooms which were spicy and had a meaty taste and texture to it and came with...

I was highly disappointed.

Food taste 4/10 Quality of service 1/10 Environment 6/10

At first they served me soup where the soup cup handle is not cleaned. After informing them, they took the soup from my table and clean the handle(while the soup is there) and serve me the same cup.

They serve my starter in two parts. But I made the order at once. Also, they serve me franch fry but my order was potato wedges. However I took the franch fry and it was pretty good in taste. Their garlic mayo is also great.

My main dish was Grill chicken steak. Rice was ok. Vegetables are not well prepared. Veg are over cooked and tasteless. I have requested to change check breast with leg so the chicken remain juicy but unfortunately it wasn't.

Overall I paid USD 16 and quality is not up...

Good place for casual dine in. Must try- 📍chocolate indulgence 📍chocolate chip walnut 📍 brownie with ice-cream. Notably I found its brownie the best. It contains chocolate chips. The ice-cream added on is better than that of other parallel fancy shops too.

⏪ Due to focusing on well heeled and profligate audience, the price is quite higher than that of other restaurants considering interior and all but still people should try it at least once. The Khilgaon branch could be better in environment. Its service is good.

Additional: Though secret recipe is known as a pastry shop, its menu includes breakfast, lunch and dinner meal also. But its signature item is its delicate pastry cake.
