Platinum Lounge — Restaurant in Sylhet Division

It was 14 Feb evening. I and my wife walked in and I was happy to see a nice modern decor in Sylhet. Then we were greeted and escorted to our table. So far so good. I open the menu I was surprised to see the prices of the items. I was expecting a very expensive menu instead I find the menu is very reasonable. The service was really good. I find the staff members are well trained. I am giving 4 stars because of decor is nice food taste is good, service was great. But there was an accident with our main dish but the way the server correct it and the MD came and took care of the things the right way, honestly I was surprised. Md comp the whole bill. I will visit the place again despite the fact there was something happened. So there is room for improvement.

Buffalo chicken was really tasty. But for some reason, I find spicy smoke bbq flavor instead of buffalo. Peri-peri chicken was good, I think it was slightly over fermented. Still, I find it best in Sylhet so far. Soup and kababs are nice. I am happy that there is a nice modern place that I can recommend...

Absolutley horrendous experience, don’t get me wrong it’s a nice place, looks premium. But that dosen’t mean exactly that the food and service is good. While ordering half of the menu was unavailable. Almost everything pretty much. And after we ordered we recieved the food 1hr 30mins later. We contacted the manager but they just said “we are low on staff“ and left without any explanation. After receiving the food, we were transferred to another table for some reason ? Apparently its easier for the staff ? Absoulutley horrendous experience after moving. We started to eat the food but the portion we disturbingly small for the price and looked nothing like the demo pics but we looked over that fact as long the food was good... The food was undercooked and cold, single handedly the worst thing i’ve ever tasted in my life I could’nt even finish it, I left the place in agony after this disgusting experience 0/10 🤮... Don’t go to this resturant for you own...

I almost always forget to take pictures, midway through this meal though I remembered. Now let's talk about the review, if the option was there I would give this 3.5 stars. Why though would be a good question, let's divide it into pros and con. Pros - the food I ordered was extremely flavourful, the service was good and the ambience was also outstanding. Cons - I found a bug in my food (this was however a naturally occurring bug in the local rice, and I believe that this could happen 1 out of every 100 times, Unfortunate that it was when I tried it). Other people at the table told me their food lacked taste. Finally they have a 10% discount on Ebl cards that is advertised right outside their door, however when we tried to pay with that they said their card machine was not working at that time - so didn't get a discount.

Overall judgement, would I go there again - yes, but I would probably not order any...
