Club Vaag — Restaurant in Antwerp

While it's not all bad... I cannot recommend the place, the issues are simply too many. It is much, MUCH too bright inside. I read other comments describing it like a "underground basement".. But it's missing that feeling completely, bright leds blasting you from all sides, all night The crowd is basic, cishet that don't come so much for the music but more for hitting on women or just drinking... Last time we went a bunch of bulky 'bros' started throwing ice cubes from their champagne bottle to mock a trans person minding their own business. Lekker gezellige sfeer zo... Crowded, because of the shape (long rectangle) there is not a single place you can stand where you have room to move. Be prepared for a constant stream of people bumping into you with no pardons given, the only place where you might have a chance to move your feet is at the back, where the sound sucks Speaking of, the sound isn't good, lacking clarity, especially in the mids, not much else to say on that front.

All very sad as they regularly have solid/greag line ups, but I'd rather miss out than have to deal with the crowd that seems to...

I am an old school raver and it's hard to find a good techno place. I stumbled in by accident on my flip flops on a Thursday evening in early June after having visited a friend in the country side and the music was awesome. I danced till 3 AM. I think the people who run the place (bartender and people at the door) are pretty OK too. Most people were in their late teens or twenties. I turned 51 this year. No problemo. Nice crowd. Did I mention that the sound system is top notch? Really. It is very hard to find a club with such a good sound system. One of the best. I love it. Too bad I live in California. Very low quality service, if you have some respect to yourself I would not recommend this place at all. It was just waste of money. Main problem was typical answer “we don’t know and this is not our business” when it came to service issues. Starting with clothing lockers I did not expect you must know how to use them and if you “fail” you must pay again, and u pay for locker every time when u want to lock it. My expectation was it should be a free service if you pay 25 euros for entrance to the place which is 70 square meters in total.
