The first time I went to Het Bos was about two years ago. I just moved to Antwerp and felt quite frustrated and lonely, but that evening was one of the best evenings I had in that first year of life there.
What makes Het Bos special is a sense of community thriving here. If you feel lonely in Antwerp, you should visit Het Bos as there are a lot of events that are perfectly suitable for loners like me. You can draw, craft, read, or even attend a cooking workshop there. Or, on the contrary, if you are looking for some Berlin rave vibes in the middle of Antwerp, Het Bos is THE place! It harmoniously combines all the forms of artistic expression.
Het Bos has a very exquisite selection of different beers that you will hardly find anywhere else. And all this at a very affordable price!
I really love the food there. On Thursdays, you can get a vegetarian dish at the Boskeuken, and it is different (and delicious!) every single time. It is also very nice to be around people who seem to like the same stuff as you, like art, music, or good food.
I highly recommend you visit some of the events and parties that Het Bos hosts. My favorite one is the WaV&Het Bos (free live concerts) on Wednesday evenings. Tip: grab some special beer at the bar and enjoy the eclectic atmosphere there!
