A more perfect spot to have your coffee is yet to be found in Antwerp. Located on the Troonplaats, surrounded by bars and several interesting restaurants, The Kolonel serves a decent coffee. During warmer months you'll easily find a spot outside in the sun. Have a seat and kill some time reading or working. Inside accommodates just as many, with several power outlets and a broad table to have a meeting or a long chat. I ranked it 4 stars out of 5, because I usually go to Butchers for my coffee and haven't eaten at Kolonel coffee (yet). I also rate their coffee lower than theirs, but honestly, it is almost unfair of me. I'm biased, I guess. Also I think it a shame they are closed on Sundays, but in the end that's their choice. Read moreI had the pleasure of having breakfast here, and it was absolutely delightful! The food was incredibly delicious – fresh ingredients, beautifully presented, and a true treat for the taste buds. The coffee was also a highlight, perfectly brewed and full of flavor.
The service was exceptional: super friendly, attentive, and quick – it really made the experience feel special and welcoming.

Read moreI recommend this café. It has a big, sunny terrace. Very trendy. Super friendly. When i drink coffee, i drink it black, and personally i didn't quite like the taste of the coffee here. But then again, friends of mine seem to like it, so maybe it's my tastebuds that are the wrongdoers. Anyway, when i visit Kolonel Koffie I order something other than coffee mostly. Pretty ironic. But it's a great cafe located on a pretty square with lots of other bars and cafés. On the other side is a recently (2017) renovated campus. It's a cosy place, peeps, no wrong choice...
