I stopped in here because I needed a pick me up (coffee!) and to use the restroom after a long day of walking and exploring.

I saw this on my meanderings and had to go in since it was so inviting looking from the street. I wish I stayed longer than to just get my cappuccino and use the restroom, but I was in a bit of a rush. The little time I spent there, I fell in love. There are so many different seating options and nooks to get lost in a book or write with your treats. The various art pieces and decor they have sprinkled throughout is perfect.

I didn't feel unwelcomed even though I was a foreign tourist- I was treated as any other patron. I realize this should be expected but it is often not, and we can stick out like sore thumbs! So to be just "another one of the locals" so to speak was nice.

As with every other place in Belgium I tried, I asked for some help and directions to get to my next location. The staff was patient and very helpful, even though I didn't spend a lot of money and I was clearly going to leave once I had my bearings. How you are treated in an establishment- especially when you are just popping in and not staying or spending a lot of money- is very important, and they get 5 stars for that alone.

I wish they had one back home- I'd...

Looks very nice from outside. Decor inside is very well done as well. That was the best part. Menu is very expensive. 16 euros for a toast?! Service was quite slow and I had to ask before my order was taken. I ordered a flat white and I must unfortunately say it was both the most expensive and worst flat white I had. It looked like a cappuccino and tasted like neither. I went to the counter and asked if they were sure that they made a flat white. They got the guy, very young, who made the coffee and he said it was in fact a flat white and looked kinda sheepish and wasn't sure what to do. I left it at that. All the staff was very young I noticed. If you gonna charge big bucks at least make sure you have the staff to deliver the service your clientele will expect. Perhaps this was a one off and I was unlucky as it seems to be a...

If there were an option to leave it at 0 stars that would be my choice. Whomever doesn't want to completely waste their money, do not go here! For a slice of toasted bread sparingly covered in topping of choice expect to pay 14-16 euros! The tiny bits of salads, carrots etc that accompany the toasts come straight from a package and aren't fresh, not to say completely dry and oxydized. The overprized pasta is just spirelli dumped with tomatosauce (again from a package) and meat balls - a child can do better, for 18 euros thank you very much. A salad -without any dressing, thus dry!- will cost you as much as 18 euros. I know of a restaurant where for 15,50 euros you can enjoy a three course meal worthy of two Michelin...

Friendly service, the exterior looks nice, the interior was done with attention to details, but the prices are steep for small portions and the atmosphere is bland. It had everything to be cosy but for some reason it doesn’t work. We had smoothies, pie, and muffins. Everything tasted good, but as already said looked small. I’d give the place 3.5 stars if I could, but 4 is too much.

What you can witness in this picture, unfortunately is not the free tap water you receive in some friendly cafés I know, it is the ,,Homemade Raspberry Lemonade“ for, not kidding, 6€, consisting of water, ice, too much syrup and a generous quarter slice of grapefruit. This rather unpleasing Way of spending money seems to be the particular offer in this café.
