Let me start by saying that trusting a tour guide named Airy from Legends Tours was perhaps the best decision we made all trip – and that's including deciding to pack extra stretchy pants for this Italian adventure.
My wife, being the sensible one in our relationship, ordered the Petto di Pollo (grilled chicken breast) for €26.80. I, being the person who sees "ham and pepperoni pizza" and immediately forgets that arteries exist, went straight for what I'm pretty sure was the Carne pizza – because why choose between meats when you can have ALL the meats?
The pizza arrived looking like a beautiful, cheesy declaration of war against my diet plans. The crust had that perfect balance of crispy edges and chewy center that makes you wonder why you ever bothered eating pizza anywhere else. The ham and pepperoni were generous enough that I briefly considered writing a thank-you note to whatever pig and cow contributed to this masterpiece. Each bite was like a little Italian hug for my taste buds.
Meanwhile, my wife's chicken was so perfectly grilled and juicy that I found myself eyeing her plate with the kind of longing usually reserved for people watching other people's vacation photos. She graciously shared a bite, and I'll admit it – the chicken was restaurant-quality good, not just "tourist trap in Italy" good.
The atmosphere was lovely, the service friendly, and the portions generous enough that we rolled out of there planning our next visit before we'd even finished digesting.
Pro tip: Listen to tour guides named Airy. They know things. Important, delicious things.
Would absolutely return – probably with looser...

The service is generally good and fast, but it could be friendlier during busy times. The waiters are almost always super gentle and friendly. On several occasions, they offered us complimentary limoncello, making it a pleasure to return. However, there was one instance when it was extremely busy. The staff were not as friendly because it was a very hot day and they seemed stressed and tired. Despite this, I can forgive them for that!
My favourite dishes in Verona are a Margherita pizza, bruschettas, and Arrabbiata pasta. These meals are so fresh and delicious, you can taste the love from the chef in every bite. Each pasta dish comes with plenty of Parmesan cheese, which is amazing since some other restaurants aren’t as generous with it.
They have a great terrace with a view of the cathedral. This terrace is amazing and relaxing in the summer. And during the winter, you can sit and eat in warm, covered and cosy area. The terrace also offers a stunning view of the Cathedral of Antwerp, making it a perfect spot for a restaurant.
In conclusion, the restaurant offers good and fast service, although it can be less friendly during busy times. The fresh and delicious dishes, like Margherita pizza and Arrabbiata pasta, come with generous portions of Parmesan cheese. The terrace provides a stunning view of the Cathedral of Antwerp, making it a perfect dining spot year-round. Despite occasional busy-day stress, the overall experience is...
Read moreIdeal spot to have either a nice Italian lunch or dinner. The inside is decorated in a rustic warm and cozy manner. When seated outside you there is a nice view over the street and at one corner of the terrace and inside upstairs you will have a great view of the cathedral. When it is colder, even in winter, the terrace is covered and equipped with heaters so a perfect place to have a nice meal.
The menu includes favorites like freshly prepared pastas, aromatic pizzas straight from a wood-fired oven, and a selection of antipasti. The ambiance at Verona is typically warm and inviting and the service is friendly, however during busy hours it can take quite some time to be attended to. Quality of the food is good, although nothing special. A small variety of beers is available and the wine options is a bit disappointing. Only 2 simple options are available by the glass and even the options by the bottle are nothing special. Especially from an Italian restaurant you would expect more.
In summary, a nice spot for both a quick midday bite or relaxing lunch with...
