Great little restaurant in Bastogne. The food was wonderful but the highlight for me was their locally brewed ‘Airborne Beer’. It’s served in a special cup in the shape of a helmet. The story behind it relates to US soldier Vincent Speranza who during the siege of Bastogne found beer at this location and carried it in his helmet to the aid station for the wounded GIs.

The only downside is the menu is entirely in French so it can be tricky to understand for an English speaker. Luckily the waitress spoke good English.

Google maps originally had the location of this restaurant listed incorrectly so it took us a while to find it. It’s located at the end of Rue Lamborelle not on the Main Street as google...

I absolutely enjoyed my quick lunch at this brasserie. As many reviewers have already mentioned, the menu is in French so if you don't speak the language, you have to rely on the waitress to give you suggestions on what to order or on Google translate. I went with the waitress' suggestion and ordered croûte au fromage with mushrooms, and it was absolutely delicious. I also ordered their "Airbourne" beer, which is served in a cup in the shape of a soldier's helmet, and it was good. However, the best one was the "Orval", which is now my favorite beer. The service was fast, efficient and friendly. I can definitely recommend this place for lunch or just...

Recommended to us by our Airbnb host, we loved it here. Some English spoken. Great atmosphere, fills quickly on busy nights, booking recommended. Tucked away behind one of the main streets in Bastogne, very eclectic and authentic restaurant serving a selection of beers. Very helpful waitress service.
