The food is good, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. From the beginning, the woman who we believe is the owner had a very unpleasant attitude toward us. We spent nearly €200—not just €10—and when we tried to split the bill between two cards, she simply said, “One table, one card,” with no prior notice or any sign indicating such a policy.

At one point, I asked if we could order the beer tasting board from our table upstairs, and she responded with an annoyed expression, saying something like, “Well… fine, I’ll bring it to you,” clearly unwilling.

I also asked if they could add a small decorative candle to the board—just something symbolic—and she refused, telling us to go to the bar next door… even though it’s the same place.

We were seated upstairs, and after taking our order and bringing the food, no one came back. We had to go downstairs ourselves to ask for the check, clear the table, and request anything else.

It’s a shame that such good food is completely overshadowed by such poor service.

We won’t be...

Beer flight was great but 4 of us were forced by the staff to have 2 flights of 24 beers and two orders of fries on one table. Our wives sat precariously on tiny stools with back to busy street. We asked for us to sit 2 at a table, which is what they were set up for but they refused as a local sat down and ordered one beer and sat at a two top by himself. It was silly. I know everyone will be telling me I should have just gone somewhere else. Well Brugge was busy we had walked a lot and the girls didn’t want to leave. I would have!!! Just a warning for those visitors in the future. I will say very local feel and we should have sat inside. Didn’t realize how much more space inside until I went to the toilet. Really the lower rating is based on how curt the older female staff member was.

I'm not sure how you "Don't agree with my experience". Confused by that statement. 4 people at a 2 top table is...

I understand that the beer comes with a foam but when you get a half litre glass for 10,50€ that doesn’t have the measure marked on the glass and is 50% foam we certainly felt hard done by. It was our first night in Brussels, first day of our holiday and weren’t sure what to expect or what the norm was and the little bar itself was charming. Not so the lady behind the bar who it was difficult to get a smile out of, clearly didn’t want to be there (it was about 10:00pm) and couldn’t wait to close up. When we left about 10:30pm she was turning a group of people away. Like us they thought the bar was open until later but her comment was “Anyone can edit it the opening times on Google”. There seem to be a lot of comments about the friendliness of service so addressing this is long overdue. As our trip progressed through Belgium we understood how poorly served and overpriced it was...

Very rude waiter/ owner. We entered the place, even though he was not busy at all pretended to not seeing me at the counter. I fetched the menu and went outside to sit, but apparently the tables right in front are from the bar next door. He came, shouted those sits we're not his are roughly took the menu from my hands without giving me the chance to ask for a table inside his place. We still go inside and politely ask for a table, he said you can look inside, I take the menu again to go sit and he shouts at us again saying the table has menus. I averted him for his rudeness and he replied if you don't like u are free to leave. Never again and worst experience ever in Bruges with everyone else so kind. Quick note, few steps to on same street lovely spot with kind waiters. Watch out for this trap!!!!

I honestly don’t know where to begin. First of all, I had to change my daughter’s diaper, and she refused to let me throw it in the toilet trash bin.. what is the bin used for?? Yes, a restaurant that serves families doesn’t even provide a proper disposal setup in the bathroom. Unbelievable. To be fair, the burger was actually nice — probably the only decent part of the entire experience. But everything else? A disaster. The service was careless and unfriendly, with barely any effort made to communicate properly. We felt like we were bothering them just by being there. And the prices? Completely unjustified. €11 for half a liter of beer? For that price, I expect at least decent service and a functioning bathroom setup. Not coming back. Not recommending
