Vivaldi — Restaurant in Bruges

Normally I wouldn't write a negative review about a place because it just seems petty and I don't want to harm someone's business, but this place is in a prime location so I doubt a bad review would make a difference. I just don't want other parents to have the same horrible experience we had. This place has a kids menu, but if you have children DO NOT go to this restaurant. My child is three. She was sitting quietly in her chair watching a show on my phone while we waited to order. She started quietly playing with some ornamental plastic flowers on the table. She was being quite so we didn't notice until she dropped some of them on the floor. No big deal! They're fake plastic flowers. Both waiters were very aggressive. One of them stormed over to pick up the flowers (which we would have done anyway when we noticed) and then another one came and threw down a bunch of plastic flowers down in front of my daughter and shouted at my husband to "watch your child " He was especially aggressive towards my husband so I feel like there was an element of racism to the incident. Myself and my partner visited here for lunch as it was recommended to us by our tour guide. On our way in we had a quick glance at the specials board which clearly displayed 2 courses for €15.50. All of our group was then rushed in and shouted at to sit at the back of the restaurant, where tables were left free, showing that they were expecting us. The waiter came to take a drinks order and allowed no other questions to be asked 'just drinks' and if you weren't quick enough he just walked on to the next table. He then came back for food orders and when asked told us the €15.50 deal was not available and pointed us in the direction of the 3 course set menus for at least €25. After a discussion about this and getting told no, we ordered 2 soups which he didn't seem happy about as he then presented us with the bill before we were even finished our soup. Be prepared for hidden charges or better stay away from this place! After spending a few hours in Bruges we just wanted to have a taste of the local mussel dishes and stopped in here. When we walked in, waiter was ok however when we ordered a meal, the tone quickly changed. He started laughing when we said we want to share a dish. The service was poor in the way that the food was thrown on to the table. Mussels in white wine sauce were tasteless. White wine sauce was more a bowl of bland dish water. The bill…. They charge as much as they can for everything. We were charged €1 extra for a tablespoon of mayonnaise (this is not on the menu and they don’t mention it when you order) and €4 (!!!) for sharing plate what is a MASSIVE RIP OFF.
