Le Cuneo — Restaurant in Brussels

We stumbled upon this family operated restaurant by chance after a visit nearby. Although it was a Wednesday evening, we were lucky to have a table, since the place was packed. The staff (I would guess all family) were clearly well liked by all the regular diners, and we also were met with typical Italian kindness. The use of masks, distance and gestures wasn't impeccable, but I don't know if that is a Brussels' or Italian treat. The food was really good. We had pasta and pizza and they were above average. Moderately priced, intimate, and friendly, this genuine Italian restaurant is a gem worth visiting at least once.

On weekends, many of the visitors are regulars, and it's understandable given the warm friendly welcome from the staff here.

Pizzas are made on the spot at the front of the restaurant, but they also serve the usual Italian fare.

The staff here are willing to make accommodations to suit dietary needs as needed, but it would be nice to see more vegetarian options...

Kids friendly, and warm, Italian welcome. But then you barely see them. Slow service, food a bit blend and fatty. They never came back to ask how the food was, or if we wanted anything more to drink etc. But pasta was fresh. My pasta dish at €23 I found expensive for what it was, though (see photo). Not authentic Italian, as several people write. It’s a hybrid French and Italian restaurant, so the level is not at par with a proper Italian. But it works for...
