We were in King Baudoin Stadium for the first time for Ed Sheeran's concert. Needed to walk quite a lot and a bit up hill toward Atomium. The signs of where to go based on what color seats we got was clear.
There were many stuffs that you could ask questions to. There were many food&snacks & drink booths but the queue was long when it was close to the peak time.
And there were many toilets but the queue were just so looong. The seats in the Stadium were small and with very tiny space for legs but in the end we survived.
The Ed Sheeran's concert itself was so niceee!! 😭 especially when he sang Teneriffe Sea. ❤️🩹
After the concert it took us quite some time to walk further as they closed the closest metro. And so after we arrived at the gate of the other metro, we had to wait with so many people 🤯 and we were stuffed into the metro train. But the rest afterwards, when we arrived in Brussels-Midi (Brussels-Zuid) train station, we were relieved and looked for water machines.
For next time, we would like to choose to stay overnight in Brussels than to have to walk and queueu quite long. The concert was done at 10:30pm but we arrived home at 2:47am. Quite an...
Read moreWe watched the Belgium-Austria match at the King's Stadium, and it was disappointing to see such a poorly maintained stadium in the heart of Europe. The food and drink queues at the stadium were extremely long, and they only accepted a special card issued by the Belgian Football Federation for payment. You had to purchase this card, load it with money, and then join different queues to make purchases using this card for food and beverages. You would wait in line for a hamburger, then leave and join another line for drinks. In all my years of going to matches and stadiums, I have never seen such a disorganized and illogical system.
Due to the running track, you were quite far from the field, making it less enjoyable to watch the game. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, but at least we had the chance to see Lukaku's goal on the big screen. The stadium had easy transportation options, and we returned to our hotel using electric scooters, which was the most enjoyable part of the evening, riding through empty streets on scooters at midnight. I was going to give 1 star but gave 3 stars because of kind and friendly...
Read moreThank you, guys, for my ruined Rammstein experience.
First and foremost: if you take a sitting ticket, you will have to SIT. Like in a theater. Normally metal concerts are a physical experience. You buy the cheapest ticket and inside go wherever you want. The only rule is that you shouldn't damage property or harm people. Here I was not even allowed to sit on the stairs. I could also not go to the standing zone because it's a separate entrance and tickets don't match. I could have watched the show on my laptop with kind of the same result.
Also, people on the standing area were soaking wet. They had zero place to hide from rain, and nothing to sit on. You could have opened the fence to the tribunes to make it more comfortable for them.
Second: if you want to buy food or drink, you have to take a special event card and top it up with payconiq. Where do these cards go after the show? To the trash bin. Very sustainable!
Finally: it costs 1 euro to rent a beer glass. This money is never given back to you: reimbursement fee is also 1 euro. It's not a lot, but this attitude is...
