Disclaimer: Went on a Saturday night at 8 pm. This is my experience, so it might be different for others.
The concept of the restaurant works. There is no denying this. When you take your sut, the food comes at a ridiculous but appreciated pace. There is practically everything served. However, everything seems to have the same/slight variatiion seasoning of (garlic, salt, black peppers, and onions). Although this is not a major problem, it becomes repetitive too fast.
Which bring is to the surprise of seeing a DJ there, the music wasn't too loud so it was manageable (so we thought). Some dude comes out with a drum and the loudest whittles I've heard outside of a football pitch. Looking around, a lot of people enjoyed this moment (which felt like forever, but I think it was only for 10 - 15/20 minutes). However, for me and my girlfriend, who thought we were going to a nice dinner date, the ambience of Rio do Texas is absolutely not for us. The food was edible, and my gf enjoyed the pineapples more than anything on the menu (which I don't think is positive feedback). Also, after the initial ridiculous pace at which the food came out, we got offered garlic bread twice, fries twice, and baked potatoes twice before the drummer came out up to when we decided to leave.
In conclusion, if you really care about the quality and taste variation of what you eat, Rio do Texas is not for you. If you are happy with generally accepted food and a loud environment, happy vibes, camera moments, etc... then definitely go for Rio do Texas. Oh, the Mojito was horrible, and the Pina...
Read moreWe had booked a table for four to dine on New Year’s eve on December 31, 2021. Our reservation was confirmed and when we came to the restaurant we saw a huge line in front of the entrance. Apparently the booking system was a fraud just to draw in customers. Everybody in the line had reserved tables following the restaurant’s rules, but nobody could get their table on the reserved time. We waited for hours to finally be let in. However we were not let in the restaurant itself but instead to a small diner next door which Rio Do Texas had apparently quickly agreed with to host their customers. At the end we did not get the atmosphere that was promised in the advertisement, as we sat and ate at a neighboring diner. What was the purpose of the reservation system if it doesn’t work? The food was horrible. The chicken was not cooked well, the fish was half raw. The entire New Years mood was ruined. Would not recommend this place the way they treat their customer by outright lying to them. If the reservation system does not work why advertise it, they should properly inform their customers that there would be queues instead of advertising a fake dysfunctional...
Read moreMy wife and I visited belgium the first time and stranded directly in this restaurant, cause we were looking for a Halal Restaurant. This on here is absolutely a visit worth. Why? The restaurant themselve is very nice furnished (modern and ageless), clean and has a great concept. The staff is very friendly and ensured a carefree stay, as long we were there. It was great, that we was asked many times, if everything is alright. The quality of the food is sensational. All kind of meat were well spiced, tasty and not dry. I visited a lot of restaurants in the last 20 years (since I started to travel), but this one is the friendliest and cleanest one, with very good food, I ever visited. I wished, that all moroccan restaurants, had the same standard like this here. I don´t know you, but I´m definetly proud of you! A special thank goes to Ghizlane and her constant smile. She made our stay wonderful and we felt like home. Also thanks to the other staff. You all made a...
