Brasserie le Carrefour — Restaurant in La Roche-en-Ardenne

Very slow and unfriendly service. Waiting for our meal for almost an hour, we both get a totally wrong dish. 10 minutes later we get the 'right' one with half the ingredients missing. The Ceasar salad had no egg on it, no olives and the 'croutons' were just soft white bread soaked in a pan sauce. When I told the young waiter, he came back after a minute saying there were not supposed to be eggs in it, even though they were clearly mentioned on the menu. We were totally ignored with our complaint. When we asked for the bill (minus the salad, which I hadn't touched) the angry owner came to our table, pretending all the necessary ingredients were in there. Mistakes can happen, but, for heaven's sake (!), dare to admit them and apologize. Not a place to be...

We came with 10 people and asked if it was ok to have a meal there. Only 1 meal was what was ordered. They didn't do much better when 9 meals where returned because they where all wrong again. After everyone ate the meal (even though they where wrong) the cook tried to make it right by giving us a free drink of our choice. The drinks that where ordered with alcohol, ( Irish coffee ect) apparently didn't even have alcohol in them. What a way to make it better. After paying the full amount we have decided never to go there again. We are 10 friends that go to La Roch every year and this is the worst restaurant that we have gone to in the 15 years that we do...

Un peu surpris de la mauvaise moyenne (3.0 pour 229 avis, avant le mien !), mais soit ! Nous sommes venus en famille (10 personnes) un peu par hasard. Dans un premier temps, l'après-midi pour déguster une glace (un des rares endroits disponibles un 20 juillet...). Les prix sont honnêtes, les desserts sont bons et généreux, le service est très bien, le personnel sympathique, rien à dire ! Ensuite, nous nous baladons et le soir, nous voulons manger sur place à la Roche... et là, c'est le drame, très difficile de trouver un endroit où manger ! Mais, par miracle, le Carrefour accepte de nous recevoir (de nouveau !) et nous prépare une longue table de 10 sur des tables hautes. On s'installe et on commande nos plats, majoritairement des burgers. Ceux-ci arrivent dans des délais corrects, le croque-monsieur un peu plus tardivement, et un quatuor de sauces accompagne le tout (mais quelle excellente idée !!!). Les plats sont bons et le personnel a toujours le sourire, ce qui est toujours un vrai plus ! Bref, c'était une belle soirée passée en famille pré-feu d'artifice de fête nationale, et on a bien mangé. Niveau prix et qualité de la nourriture, c'est très honnête pour une brasserie, située dans un lieu très touristique de surcroît ! J'espère que cet endroit continuera ses efforts et que d'autres partagerons mon avis, car résolument, 3/5 ce n'est pas une note digne pour...
