The Legend of Le Saint-Germain
Our story begins on a typical cold summer day in Belgium. The clouds were heavy, and the colors bleak and gray. Two hungry men, wandering in search of their next feast, encountered a man who knew not that their feast would be no more than that akin to peasant food: charred meat and fries crisped to a hardened husk of potatoes. But fear not, reader, for there was one who shined through the gloomy undertone of Saint-Germain. His name was Clement, the Legend of Saint-Germain, Hero of Mons. His brightness was enough to turn a blackened heart to its glorious red. The friendliness of the Hero of Mons was the greatest gift that Saint-Germain heldâa true treasure of Belgium. With a smile that could guide ships in the night, he led these two hungry travelers to an upstairs table where they dined on the unloved food of Saint-Germain. This great palace of culinary delights housed the man who bestowed his love upon the travelers through his charismatic personality. He beckoned the travelers to indulge in the sin of drink, promising protection from the evils outside. Little did the Hero of Mons know of the evil lurking within: the chef, a true paragon of villainy. Not even the Legend of Saint-Germain could shield these travelers from the poison that was concocted in the kitchen's depths.
The tale reaches its climax with the great war of swallowing the final steak. The folk of Mons celebrated when the last bite was taken, though this celebration was even greater as the travelers, with Clement's help, survived the ordeal. They gifted the Legend a small bounty, a token of their gratitude. He wished the travelers well before parting ways, forever defending the downtrodden who dared enter Le...

Read moreWe were a bit sceptical about trying this restaurant at first, as some of the bad reviews almost made us change our minds. However, we were pleasantly surprised! The food was absolutely delicious â I had the pork with a famous Belgian sauce, and my friend ordered the Menu Ătoile with three courses. Everything was full of flavour and beautifully prepared.
That said, I have to agree with some reviews mentioning the slow service. It was a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was quite empty, yet our main dishes took around 25 minutes to arrive. The waiters were very friendly and attentive though, so with a bit of improvement on timing, this place could...
