always delicious food and exceptional service, the owner is so friendly and speaks a lot of languages! this is a place to unwind and enjoy great food, they serve not only the best sandwiches, but also quiches, cakes, soup, omelettes, croissants and other things i’m a big fan of tonton garby in brussels, so i needed to visit this location as well! :) the wait here is shorter and you can also sit down and watch the sea from the window perfect!

The photo says it all, the worst sandwich I have ever eaten. We went to brussels to the same place and we were served by his brother with some very good sandwiches, we came here thinking it would be just as good but it is a total scam, when we tell him to pay he tells us that in cash, that is warned when you sit down. A disappointing place.

The worst sandwich I've had in a long time.Three slices of chorizo, the worst quality, three pieces of pear, and a sliced cheese from the supermarket, nothing to do with the sandwich we originally ordered, a rip off. We came to Ostend just for this place as his brother served us in Brussels with a 10 class sandwich.

Just as good as the Brussels one - the amazing host is in Brussels on weekdays and is at this beachfront cafe over the weekend. He makes the best sandwiches, and your experience here will definitely make your day. Just don’t be in a hurry - he will likely offer you free soup of the day which is super tasty and then will talk to you as he makes the sandwiches. If there is a wait, wait!! I don't know what happend for you. But " Tonton Garby" is the same guy in Bruxelles and Oostend. I went in Bruxelles 's cheese store and I was happy exactly like in Oostend. In Oostend' s tonton garby cheese store I feel like a queen. I'm so happy and it's written in the store "happy or money back". For my self EVERY Time it was delicious...
