Tati Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in Turnhout

I went here to have lunch today. It was obvious when I took my seat that I was not welcome there. First of all, the waitress was so unprofessional. She came to my table and insisted I choose something right away from the menu. I told her that she should first serve me a chai latte as I just got there and needed to go through the menu to make a choice; but she insisted that I make my choice now as the kitchen was busy, I did hastily chose the " Zalm wraps" and also asked for a "Chai latte". After 2mins of taking my order the waitress came back to me to let me know that the kitchen was busy and so they can not fulfil my order I then asked her if the kitchen was also closed for a latte and she said no and that she will serve the chai soon as the bar wasn't busy. Long story short, I sat there for 30 minutes, completely ignored by this waitress. I didn't get served my chai latte , nor did she or anyone come to my table. This review is based on the service on a Saturday morning. We ate the scrambled eggs with bacon and the Saturday brunch menu.

Pros: The food is great. Everything was well cooked and presented. Nice coffee and natural orange juice. Everything was served on time, even in a full house. The establishment is very pretty and the greenhouse is perfect for the winter months. Only (beautiful) Dutch menu. But staff offered to translate and help.

Cons: Noisy family environment. Not the worst in this regard. Some elements on the menu could be more explicit, for example, the menu only stated "homemade jam" and "bio fresh juice". It's ok if it's not explicit in the menu, but the waiters should clarify what it is to avoid ordering something the client...

Im from Australia sydney, We have a very strong coffee culture everywhere Down under. But in Belgium its so difficult to find a good cuppa Then I found this place. Simply the best coffee I've had in Belgium. Tati coffee is well balanced and has excellent flavour. Not to boiling and a generous serve. Beautiful outdoor seating tucked away from the main square of Turnhout and very friendly wait staff. Don't waste your time searching for a coffee elsewhere, this is the place.
