Restaurant Chef Wayne — Restaurant in Uccle - Ukkel

My husband and I were very much amazed by the delicious taste of our plates and its beautiful presentation. We found the food and beverage selection on the menu to be quite rich and creative. We spent a bit more than 100 euros in this restaurant, and our stomachs were full and pleasant until the next day! 😄👍 The experience in this restaurant is unique in Brussels. We regularly go to different places and it’s difficult to impress us, but at Wayne almost everything is so exotic! Some ingredients are really new to us, and about some of them, I had never even heard before! Chef Wayne impressed us very much, especially with the speed of preparation and the highest level of interaction. Only one slight and tiny flaw I could mention is music. It was a bit repetitive and by the second hour in the restaurant was a bit boring, but still authentic. Enjoying food in this restaurant was like traveling all around the Philippines and the Caribbean region. It's exactly how the aroma and shape of prepared products were creating a magical chemistry in our mind. Chicken was so tender, juicy and intense with fragrance. Can’t believe that a simple chicken could be cooked so incredible! I loved my seafood dish. It was really like a nice parcel, but inside I found an amazing surprise. Such tender salmon I have never eaten. And I was indulged with shrimp broth. Chef even removed eyes from it to make the dish even better looking and tasting 👀 I love such attention to the small details. I felt that he loves what he’s doing. He takes great care! Chef Wayne through his attitude shown himself as highly professional and responsible. His perfection and passion attracts us to come back to his restaurant 🤗

The restaurant is presented as Caribbean/Filipino restaurant, more towards a high end one. The service is good, which also started with an amuse bouche. The food was also good, but most have some spice in them so be careful. The only downside is the price - their main dishes are above 30€, which is already quite high even compared to many high end restaurants. Even some starters are above €20. It does get you full, but the serving is on the smaller side.

I was a little disappointed as there was barely anything Filipino on the menu. I wish there were at least 2-3.

We feel like we found a new hidden gem! We were truly amazed by this upscale, modern and smart blend of Jamaican and Philippine cuisine. The delicious flavours wowed us and we liked our plates clean. Everything we had was prepared with skill and creativity, but we especially enjoyed the jerk chicken, sea bream and rasta stew (vegetarian). The service was very helpful, friendly, and sweet. The interior is elegant and the atmosphere is completed by relaxing Caribbean music. Overall, we loved this culinary experience and can’t wait...
