We went to Babam for an impromptu lunch, having noticed the restaurant ever since moving into the area almost a year ago. Lunch is relatively affordable and for the 35 Euro three course option you are treated to very capably cooked plates of food that together will leave you more than satisfied. Prices for a glass of wine were still decent too, so depending on consumption you may spend under 100 Euro for a good lunch for two. We were charmed by the bright yet softened ambience created with simple means in a relatively small dining area. The sound level remained quite hushed, and worthy to note, the chairs and tables have the exact right height proportion to facilitate comfortable dining (so often restaurants get this part wrong). The interior style is like a fresh and contemporary take on rustic 70s vintage. Service was personable, correct, with a welcome touch of informality. An experience...
Read moreThis restaurant proposes a menu with a relatively limited choice of three starters, main-courses and desserts. I have no problem with that provided there is a good choice of appetising dishes, which was, indeed, the case. In fact, it can be a very good approach in a relatively small restaurant. There is a formula of one of each for âŹ48; which is good value for the quality provided. In a party of four, everything we tried was good. There is a good selection of wines.
The restaurant offers a pleasant décor and ambience. The service was agreeable and efficient. Definitely, a restaurant...
