My family and I were thrilled when KFC finally arrived at the Wijnegem Shopping Centre, as it was the first restaurant/drive through in Belgium - HOORAY!
However, due to a number of negative experiences, we shall NOT be using it any longer - BOO!... and here’s why:
EVERY-SINGLE-TIME!!! We have visited the KFC restaurant or drive through, there have ALWAYS been mistakes (some little, some WHOPPERS!) with our orders i.e. pieces/quantities short or just plain missing even.
The customer service has been TERRIBLE, almost non-existent even.
Staff seems un-enthused, giving you the impression like they don’t want to be there.
Make a query or complaint; then you’re met with sloth-like response, non-verbal, not even an apology... Your missing items simply shoved at you, before turning and walking away.
You’re left thinking “WTF was that!” and generally feeling rather disgruntled by the whole experience.
COME ON KFC!!! You’re food although very tasty is EXPEDNSIVE! Our last visit to KFC (13th Feb – MY BIRTHDAY BTW!!!) cost us more than 70 euro’s.
What with the Belgian traffic, the terrible service, long waiting times and constant mistakes... It just ruins the whole experience and leaves you feeling stressed and angry.

Read moreNo toilet available on Sundays because the shopping centre is closed, so you can't wash your hands or use the toilet. We came in straight from the road, travelling through Europe, and we had to pee in the nearby bushes. We could not even wash our hands. The food was cold too. For such a large restaurant there were 2 staff members on site, one of them being a teenager. The manager was polite but could not answer me whether it's legal for a restaurant to not have basic toilet facilities. I would assume this would be a part of manager's training to be aware of legislation around running a food establishment. Makes me wonder whether the place follows food safety rules at all, especially having been given cold food. I went to KFC especially because as a well known worldwide corporation there are, or should be, certain standards in place ensuring food safety and hygiene. I was travelling with my disabled husband and our child and it was difficult. The manager didn't attempt to help at all and could not tell me where the nearest toilet facilities would be...
Read moreWe have eaten here and I thought that it was an okay restaurant despite it being quite busy. However today's experience was abysmal. I only ordered a burger and coffee and asked for table service. After waiting for more than 15 minutes and seeing other people who ordered after us getting their food, I went to check and found my order lying on the counter with no one to serve. So I got the food and after coming to the table, I realised that they gave me the wrong coffee. Again back to the counter, another 5 to 10 minutes later, I get the right coffee. Fast food shouldn't be this difficult or so slow. This happened today despite being not that busy, it was about 50% occupancy today. I could only imagine what it would be like...
