HAWAIIAN POKE BOWL — Restaurant in Wijnegem

I guess that over 2.500.000 views later and X number of restaurants I’ve reviewed around the world here on Google maps, it had to happen at one point. Having an employee of the restaurant thinking of talking behind our backs just because she heard us talking in English so possibly not being able to understand her.

So, the paying process was smooth, and the portions are abundant and excellent in taste. Honestly both me and my husband were happy about the whole experience till we barely finished our meal, I was still drinking my coke, when an employee, blonde female, thought to bring over two clients in front of our table and tell them in Dutch “you wait here two minutes and they leave”. With a great embarrassment of the other client who was left standing a meter away from me and my husband while witnessing how we were obviously not done yet. I told her straight that that was plain rude as we just swallowed the last bite and we still had our drinks. She dropped her jaw when she got that I fully understood what she was saying to the other client and tried to patch it up, but no thank you. It’s the first time in my life that this happened and honestly it’s a bummer because I’ve really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. But as a restaurant owner myself, I never rushed clients to leave when they were still consuming.

Had a very bad experience yesterday when I ordered online. The order time was 1.57 pm.and the website automatically gave 2.15 as the pickup time. When I reached the store at 2.15, the pickup was not ready. As I waited, I noticed people who were ordering take away at the store being given preference. I finally asked the status of my order at 2.25 to discover that they had kept aside my order and it was yet to be prepared. Finally when the person delivered the 3 bowls, I found that one them only had brown rice in it. On inquiring the store person said that my order had only brown rice. I then noticed that it was indeed the case and the website does not function correctly and did not add any add+ins to the main bowl in case of the Make your Own Bowl option. On pointing out that it is their website issue, the store person told me that they could prepare the bowl as per my needs. Since it was already 25 minutes past the pickup time, I requested them to cancel the order for the one bowl. They showed some hesitancy on this and asked me to wait which I refused due to the delay. I later sent a request to their email asking for a refund since I cancelled the order but it has been more than 24 hours since I even received a...

We are here for lunch after eliminating some place and our choice fall for poke bowl. It's been long time ago that we try this. We order what's in the menu. We like spicy so we order spicy chicken. I find it amazing taste. They have medium and large. If you kind of big appetite person then maybe large portion is good for tou jut if not the medium is good. My MIL even can not finish her plate and you can take it with you home. There is choice for rice, sushi rice or brown rice or quinoa, salad end some more, I forget wat was that. But if it's only rice then no additional cost but if you taking like quinoa then there is additional cost. If you wil extra from alles then you get additional cost too. But just taking what there is, and you dont get additional cost and I think the portion is also in good amount. The spicy from jalapeño in it is super. 👌🏽 And we have good clean table and the food coming 10 minutes after we order. The man that bring our food also friendly. I think everybody have their own experience, so this is mine. I recommend this place for you to try and to experience it...
