Chef Roger/Lebanese Cuisine and Shisha — Restaurant in Belize City

Best Birthday Dinner EVER! Fresh and Prepared to Perfection!

My brother and I were in Belize City, and his birthday was February 3rd. For his birthday, I asked Mark, "Where would you like to celebrate your birthday? Pick anywhere you like!" Mark said he wanted fresh, healthy "Greek" type food, and picked a spot he had seen online called Chef Roger. So that was our destination.

The food was so amazing that I felt like I was celebrating my birthday too. It takes a minute to locate this place, as the restaurant is tucked away in a residential neighborhood. We had a magical evening with Chef Roger and his cuisine did not disappoint. Mark had the meat kabobs and I did the veggies. Portions were generous, and the price was right. I am still dreaming...

It was our second day in Belize City, and we were way more hungover than I am comfortable with. We walked past his place at first, but luckily noticed guests sitting out on the patio. It was rainy and breezy and we were so hungry after walking our zombie selves to find Roger's place. He cooks right there for you on his grill, and you can tell he is SO happy doing it. The food itself was also great. For a plain ole chicken kebab, it was pretty damn appetizing. To top off the experience, the chef's wife was on her way out and just would not let us walk back in the rain. She drove us back to our B&B and we napped the day away. Our last meal in Belize city was Lebanese cuisine which was about an 8min walk from our hotel. We ordered the vegetarian platter and the mixed meat platter. The restaurant was on the owners deck attached to their home. We were able to watch the chef grill up the kabobs while we listening to traditional music. The aromas coming from the bbq were amazing.
