Friendship Restaurant — Restaurant in Belize City

Incredibly frustrating, poor communication. I ordered food for delivery to one of the small hotels near this restaurant. At the start of my call I specified that everything needed to be vegetarian AND vegan. I then discussed menu items, and the person who took my order suggested Singaport street noodles (made from rice and not eggs) with veggies. OK, sounds good. I specifically verified that the dish would not be made with chicken sauce. A little later -- quite fast, actually -- my order arrived: Singapore street noodles with chicken and shrimp. Wait a minute: that's not vegan or vegetarian. OK, so it was a mistake. I'll call them back and they will straighten it out, right? No, they won't. First, the lady who took my order argued with me: I never said vegetarian. She doesn't know what vegan means. She told me (she says) that there would be meat (not true). Then she hung up on me -- yup, hung up in the middle of the call. OK, so now I'm annoyed. I called back and this time she said she would send a new order but couldn't promise how long it would be. As I write this, it is 10 minutes to closing time and they still haven't been back. That's right: they delivered the food in 20 minutes when they knew they would get paid, but when they made a mistake and I asked them to fix it, they argued, hung up on me, and then never sent the food. Moral of the story: this place MAY be OK if you are eating in the restaurant, or if you don't mind eating whatever they decide to send. But if you want to receive what you ordered try someplace else instead.

UPDATE: OK, they finally delivered my new order. The quality was just so-so, perhaps worth of 2 or 3 stars. But because of the rudeness and hassle I will...

My mother always recommends this place when we come to visit and I finally got around to ordering (I ate so much fish during my stay and wanted chicken)

I called I ordered and asked for delivery of chicken n fries for a few streets over. They let me know itd be 20 mins. Kay cool.

45 mins later my grandmother calls annoyed trying to figure out where our food is. You could hear on the phone there was confusion in the background while they were figuring things out but they told us it was on the way. 10 mins later it was here by motorbike (just pointing out real quick its a 10-15 min walk)

Packaged with love and excited we bring it in to eat and I open my box hella disappointed. Chicken wings with a very small bit soggy of fries n a tablespoon of coleslaw.

Don't get me wrong the chicken was delicious. Has a lil spicy kick to it. However I dont agree with the "sides" as there barely was any and poorly made for 16 BZE. I suggest order just chicken wings by itself and order in advance because delivery is...

Other than fried chicken, there's nothing else you should get that's worth paying for. My cousin ordered a beef burger and not only was it terribly made, the beef did not look or taste like actual beef. The chow mien is mostly noodles and anything but chicken chow mien is way overpriced. I've gotten the chicken many times before because my parents like the restaurant and it's fine, however it's pretty cheap and oily.
