Since Mappstreet Market Place was a newly opened café I decided to check it out. It is gently located in a compound that also hosts a restaurant and has a really spacious parking lot. It's definitely not a comfortable walking distance from the historic center so to get to this place having a car or taxi ride is ideal (unless you're okay with walking approx 20min from the historic center to get here). Loved the layout as I was walking in and both staff members that greeted us were super nice. Ordering was a bit of a drag. The menu that is placed on the big screens is not comprehensive, the barista had to orally list all the available iced coffee flavours so I just went with my usual Mocha because I couldn't remember all that. I was obviously frustrated over the ordering process but the barista still took his time to try to make it a little easier, he got a 10/10 for that. On the visible menu the medium iced coffee cost $5 BZD but my bill came up to $9 BZD after ordering the Mocha iced coffee. The price was fine and that was some hella good coffee but a proper menu would be great so I can know it's $9 I'm about to pay beforehand, especially for our coffee lovers that are on a budget. If there's a menu with all this listed, having it readily available is ideal but honestly, the main screen would do fine. The space is set up super nicely, there's an indoor and outdoor option. I saw a patron working on her laptop there, unsure if wifi is provided but it sure is a nice space to grab a coffee, snack and work in a quiet environment. There are also snack options, salads, coffee beans, chocolate and other items available for purchase. I had to turn back to tip the barista, he has excellent customer service and my iced coffee tasted great!

I'm not a big coffee drinker but this is good coffee. They also have a variety of desserts on offer every day, great deli style sandwiches and a decent lunch menu. It's a safe location relatively central between to Downtown BZE City and Freetown Road. Good choice for a casual meet-up or something more formal like working lunch or job interview. I didn't check if there was wifi. The only issue I've had is with the specialty drinks being a tad too sweet.

Visited with my daughter and had such a lovely experience. The atmosphere was welcoming from the moment we walked in—cozy, relaxed, and perfect for a casual catch-up. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. We tried a couple of their salads and they were absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. She also enjoyed their Matcha frappé. Definitely a spot we’ll be returning to!

Used to be good but fell off. I had confirmed what I wanted to order then went over to swipe my card, but the lady at the counter insisted it wasn't working because my card didn't have the chip. However in the past four years that I've had this card, there has not been a single place in Belize that has denied me because of that, instead they'd swipe the black bar down the card reader, enter the last 4 digits and the payment would go through. The lady didn't even bother to swipe the card, she just gave me the nastiest attitude and told me "it doesn't work because there's no chip and its giving me an error". (Of course it's gonna give you an error because you need to swipe it instead!) Which is strange because in the multiple times I've come here since last year (2022), they had no problem using that exact same card. I'm not a person that likes to carry around cash so I know to go to places that accept credit card. And I don't know why the lady has to be so rude about it, the servers that were there last year were never this rude -- they'd actually care to smile and hold a conversation with me. I'm not mean or intimidating, I'm rather short in height with a very light voice. I used to have such a good impression of the service here but now they don't even try anymore. Like I don't mind that she couldn't figure out how to use the card, I could've went to the ATM for cash then come back, but I ended up feeling so unwelcome...
