I didn't intend to visit this restaurant during my stay in San Ignacio, however a few tour mates recommended this and so one day after tour I asked the driver to drop me off outside this restaurant. I went in and asked for a table and they told me the place was full for the night. The staff asked me if I would prefer to come back again the next day or wait I told I would be okay to wait or take a seat by the bar counter. Eventually they offered me a seat by the bar counter. There was this section in the menu which says "Guava Limb specials" but I didn't pick from the list because I felt quite full and I didn't want to have a full meal, so I decided to go for bites which I then ordered a Combo basket of fish, chicken and shrimp. Also ordered the Oreo cheesecake, the waiter told me the most popular cheesecake in the restaurant. The combo basket was served and I was a bit disappointed looking at the portion of the bites. I would say I enjoyed the sauces and it complemented the bites really well. The shrimp and fish bites were good, but the chicken one was really dry I didn't like it and I almost used up all the sauces on the chicken to make sure I finish them. The Oreo cheesecake is definitely a pleaser, and I would also recommend anyone who wants dessert to order that as well. Decent meal but then won't say its very good, more of between the average and good. Not sure but maybe the special dishes would change the mind of...

Overall the food and experience was around average. Pretty ambience (we ate at night), good quality food and what looked like an excellent curation of dishes. The presentation and description of dishes looked amazing, but when we got the dishes, some of them lacked flavor (pizza, burger, wings, and cheesecake being the exceptions). Additionally, they were very busy so our mains took 40 minutes to come after we ordered. We came a day before but they were booked with reservations so we reserved for the next day. I highly recommend calling in a day before to reserve a table.

Spicy sausage and Pepperoni Pizza: 5/5 Fresh out of the oven and super flavorful Guava Buffalo Chicken Wings: 4/5 Cooked perfectly We enjoyed it but not much buffalo flavor Spicy Chorizo and Shrimp Burger: 5/5 Packed with flavor Best main course we ordered Blackened Fish: 2/5 Salsa was too sweet Fish was overcooked Chilli Garlic Shrimp Fettuccine: 3/5 Lacked flavor Not enough sauce Pesto Al Pasta with Grilled Chicken: 3/5 Lacked flavor Cooked Perfectly Sriracha Coconut Shrimp: 3/5 Shrimps overcooked Had more thai flavor rather than sriracha Oreo Cheesecake:...

We ate dinner elsewhere this evening (crave) and had terrible service. We intended to have cappuccinos and dessert too, but left to find it somewhere else. We went down the street and wish we would have have just eaten at guava limb restaurant and cafe. That is where we ended up for an amazing warm welcome from the entire staff, so so friendly, a whole container of water on the table (couldn’t even get a refill the previous place), and friendly attitudes the entire service. We only ordered a couple cappuccinos and the carrot cake to share (to die for) and still were treated like we were family. They even came out on the street to help us find parking. The chef, all servers, security- everyone was just incredible to us, even with a pretty busy dining area. The upstairs was closed due to covid, but they still allowed us to go up there with them to take a little tour/peek. Beautiful, clean building. We will be back tomorrow for dinner. I already know it will be amazing basing off the...
