Mini’s BBQ — Restaurant in San Ignacio & Santa Elena

Minis was a top meal for us during our trip across Belize thus far. My girlfriend had the Jerk Chicken plate and I had the Jerk Pork plate, both were absolutely delicious.

The Jerk sauce was a sweet and tangy bbq-like sauce that was perfectly accompanied by their homemade pasta salad and rice and beans. The chef clearly took great pride in his cooking and you could tell this food was made with love! Super quick, cheap, and delicious food in San Ignacio. One of my favorite melas here....

The BBQ chicken is truly delicious. The sauce is flavorful but not as overpowering as other BBQ sauces, which often take over the dish. This one has a perfect balance that complements the tender meat with pleasant grilled aromas. I also recommend the coleslaw as a side — its lemony note makes it incredibly fresh.
