Fantastic joint in general, but especially if you are staying across the way at the Venus Hotel. The staff is very friendly; the drinks are fairly priced; and the food is really good. Nice open air bar with an excellent breeze. They have WiFi, outdoor seating, and just an overall great vibe. I had dinner here my first night in San Ignacio and have come back every day since then, mainly for afternoon drinks and an appetizer. If you are here when conch in season (late January to early May-ish), be SURE to have the conch ceviche; it's fantastic. And tell 'em Johnny Don't! sent ya. ;-) UPDATE: I'm back, just about a year later, and this place is still great. I just saw a review from yesterday that says they have poor service; no idea what that guy is talking about. The service here is always top-notch, and the food is really good. Sure, they're not going to make a hamburger just like you have in the US, but it's well-made and comes out hot and tastes great. I had their lobster for dinner a few nights ago; $20 USD for a fresh tail with two sides. So good. Don't skip this place, it's a good spot to have a drink and some food while watching people go about their day.

I'm actually quite satisfied with the overall presentation and food of this place. The only thing I would not really order (if you love to drink) is their cocktail. It looks good but it's just really bland. There's barely any alcohol. The service was nice when we visited. The food was good. We ordered mostly take outs and one tacos plate to have. The tacos was really good and filling. We wanted steak as well but it was not available when we ordered. We got the quesadillas in place and it was a great choice. I'm not a fan of quesadillas but their was very satisfying. It was filling and not greasy like other places! The only thing I didn't enjoy as much is the ceviche. It was not bad but might have been missing lime or salt which I added in myself. Overall, the price for food and drink was very reasonable. The atmosphere was good. I would go back again and I would recommend them to others.

I heard a lot of mixed reviews about this place and some negative feedback from the locals too. I had the chicken curry, which was very good, I cleaned my plate. My partner had the coconut shrimp, and he did not enjoy his. I would say this place is probably a hit or miss, depending on what you order. If it was just my own food that I was reviewing, I would have given them four stars.

Unimpressed. Had bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer for $12 .50 USD. Would've gotten more food in the States for that price and the amount was tiny. The waitresses were all too busy with their phones and eating their own meals to bother with service or get me my bill after I asked. Usually in Belize when it's pretty clear you're sweating your butt off they'll turn on a fan. Well they did, but it was pointed at the employees. Place looks really nice and fancy but the service sucked and the portion was really tiny. Yes I know it's only an appetizer, I'm not a big eater and usually can't finish appetizers. Plus the place was hot they didn't bring out one of the standing fans that was there. That's cuz they paid no attention to me as a customer or they would've noticed I was dripping with sweat. I don't usually write bad reviews but in this case I was...
