Baan Thai — Restaurant in City of Hamilton

Great food but rude and unhelpful owner. Gave my takeout food to another customer, who they chased down to get it back (thankfully hadn’t left yet for him and us). Obviously means they didn’t ask for more than name, should have asked for name and phone number. People make mistakes so that’s fine. But they then spent the next 10 minutes trying to figure out what to do in front of us, without asking if I’d like to pay or even addressing me at all. I was standing there with my 2 year old, and finally had to ask if I could pay for my food (admittedly testily). No proper apology, offered an orange juice which I didn’t accept. That’s not the point, just wanted good service and understanding of the situation. I then had to go back in with my son as I’d dropped my parking ticket in line, and as I left I asked the owner why he hadn’t apologized. He immediately got defensive, I was upset as I was with my son and was going home to my 8.5 month pregnant wife, to which he said that was not my problem. It isn’t a problem, it’s life.
