One29 — Restaurant in City of Hamilton

For any asian people who might consider going to One29, be careful of one employee with short curly hair.

I had an awful experience because she, didn't bother to bring menu for 30 min said she thought I ordered already when I confronted her, which was a bs because I watched her taking orders and serving coffee and foods to the tables next to me including those who came after me, and she was the only person serving the area I was in. even lied to me when I asked for her supervisor, she pointed to a male worker behind the beverage bar when the real manager was a female.

The manage was very apologetic, but the damage had been done. While sitting there for 30 min completely ignored, I remembered the other day when I came to get some takeout, she was at the counter, taking orders. When I said what I wanted, she didn't understand my order and made me repeat it many times. Now i believe that she was doing it intentionally.

I've been living in bermuda many years, but have never experienced this awful discrimination. Food is great and the other employees are great. But I don't know if I can revisit One29 any soon.

I really hope no one gets treated...

Love this place great food amazing breads and coffees. Selection are top notch which for me as I chef it's good to go somewhere I can enjoy delicious food. Best sushi omg and fast. Only one draw back there service is slow so if you wish to be more than 1hour waiting for a sandwhich then this is not the place for you. Hope they can work it out. They head person shouldn't have to say go to that table take that order. I am very observant and hope this changes because it is an amazing eatery just not fully efficient Therefore I have stripped them of a star and only have 3 out of 5 for service. Im hoping the problem is there new. But I will be back to...

Stopped in for a pastry and coffee this morning. Great service. Nice location. The almond croissant is one of the best I have ever had and I travel throughout Europe a lot. I had an iced caramel latte with almond milk as well. Sooooo good...
