Huge caveat to this review: the food is great, but it's loud, and many of the patrons are drunk. After dining at the Astwood Arms twice, I can definitely say that they have excellent pub food of exceptional quality in terms of how it's prepared. The service is very good. However, the real problem is that it can get exceptionally loud, even thunderously loud, because there is nothing to dampen the noise from the many drunk patrons. We sat in the farthest corner away from the drinking crowds and still bombarded with more than 70-75 decibels of noise. Hopefully, if you come to experience the fine food and drink that they serve, it won't be full of loud, drunk patrons in the early evening.

Best bermudian chowder in my humble opinion! Staff was amazing, accidentally spilled drink and they were so helpful in cleaning and making another. Can’t wait to return. X

Enjoyed the iconic Bermuda fish sandwich. Toasted raisin bread with lightly battered and fried Wahoo topped with just the right amount of tartar sauce.

Tried the Astwood Arms for the first time and very disappointed. The food/atmosphere was very average. The menu was dirty and sticky, so straight away thinking 'not great'. Empty boxes on the sidewalk outside the pub. No friendly welcome.

The calamari was average. The pie was good - so gained a point there although the mash was flavourless. The cauliflower tacos were okay - again not much flavour - missing the cilantro promised on the menu.

But why 2 points and not 3? Well, the check arrived and I noticed they had over-charged me compared with the price on the menu. I pointed this out to the staff, only to be told, "Oh well, the price on the menu is wrong," and they did nothing about it. Erm... no! That is terrible customer service right there. You don't advertise something at one price then charge another - ever. I guess most customers don't notice or don't care. But, I do.

Come on, Astwood Arms. Do better next time, although, tbh, there probably won't be...

My husband and I came on a Wednesday night, about 8:30 and were able to get seated immediately. Atmosphere is really warm and intimate in the corners and pub like towards the bar. Had a gin and tonic (huge glass makes me feel like it's worth it lol), hubby's ginger ale was watered down. Food was yummy! I ordered the salmon with asian noodles, super refreshing and the salmon was perfectly done. My husband had the grilled wahoo with fingerling potatoes and veggies in a butter sauce and he loved it. Last but certainly not least, the staff was wonderful!! Attentive, friendly and practiced safety measures because of COVID. This was our first time dining in, would...
