Disappointed! Takes forever for someone come to serve. Plus We probably the only table that night, later on did came 2nd table. It was saturday night around 8pm, but I cant believe it was so quiet no customers. Im wondering if the restaurant changed owner or changed chef? Camt be that bad if on 7th position in trip advisor list.
Anyway, food was just pretty ordinary. The 5 hours cooked beef 57bs was ok, nothing spectacular but ok and a bit dry and in thevsmallwr side. The spicy lengua 40bs just like any almuerzo you could get at lunch, that usually cost you 10-12bs in Tarija or La Paz. But for 40bs with 4 small pieces ox tongue lengua, not worth it!
If you want to experience good real bolivian food, and if you travel to la paz soon, must try Luciernagas Restaurant. Their food is sooo delicious and HUGE also inexpenaive. Im just so disappointed for the size and ordinary taste for such high price. Why cant they give a little more if you charge 3-5 times higher than normal bolivian restaurants? They Not even borther to do presentation...... I dont know how this place got such high ranking in trip advisor, it just makes me really miss the restaurant in La Paz.
Anyway, I guess something must changed drastically in the restaurant, not what I would expect for 7th ranked restaurant from trip advisor. Nothing special about their food only thing special is their 3-5 times higher than market or almuerzo you can coukd easily...

I opted for the lengua (tongue), which was prepared in a traditional style. While the sauce was a bit heavy-handed, it still provided an authentic taste of local cooking. The menu features an extensive selection of traditional Bolivian dishes, making it a good spot for tourists wanting to explore local flavors.
While I wasn't completely blown away, locals consistently recommend this as one of the best places for traditional Bolivian food. A word of caution: the neighborhood isn't the most upscale area of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, but its proximity to the city center makes it a convenient stop if you're already...
