How this place has 4.8 stars is baffling, as it is expensive and highly underwhelming in almost every way. The pizza was mediocre to pretty bad: very salty, with a dull and chewy base that seemed like it had been stored frozen, not fresh. The sun-dried tomatoes on it were almost inedible and although it was pretty loaded, it was hard to tell what was what because it was so salty. It doesn't even have its own toilet because it's actually part of a little strip mall. I would avoid this place and everything else on this street, and go to the square by the church for a much quieter, more genuine and way less tourist-trappy experience.
The owners lie in their replies here. We were not asked if the food was OK a single time. They claimed I always complain about pizza in my reviews, and I have only done so once before, for a similarly mediocre pizza. This was the worst pizza I had in Brazil. We finished the food because we were extremely hungry and couldn't be bothered to have...
Read moreThis was a delicious meal - we grabbed a later night bite, after 9 pm, and each enjoyed everything we were served. I’d be happy to come Back, explore the menu and have a long relaxed meal. My husband had a risotto with shrimp and champagne! It was creamy, tender and delicious. I enjoyed a shrimp salad and appreciated how they cleaned the shrimp. The food was well balanced and tasty. Prior to our food we were served a tomato/red pepper sauce in a small cup with fresh bread. After dinner we were served two cold shots of limoncello - these are comforts I’ve experienced in Italy as well as in my home city, New York City, but haven’t had the pleasure in my previous visits to Brazil. Our server Celeste was attentive and friendly, Pablo was inviting and looked over the whole operation. He even encouraged us to move tables to be better seated near a revolving fan to get a break from...
Read moreWait staff were lovely and the food was delicious. We started with the Mediterranean bruschetta which had a generous helping of cheese. I had the Rosotto Frutos do Mar - the mussels were excellent. My partner had the filet which came with a simple salad and potatoes and she enjoyed it very much. We both washed our meal down with aperol spritzes and then ended the night with a tiramisu and a chocotorta, the former was very good but the latter was outstanding. The wait staff then came by with a shot of Bailey’s and a shot of limoncello on the house, which was very kind and a tasty send off for an evening stroll. Would highly recommend...
