Stopped by this place twice during my 2 day trip to Iguazu Falls. TLDR: Service is absolutely terrible but the food is great.
Day 1: we stopped by for dinner, we were promptly seated, ordered our alcoholic drinks and main course (kafta with chefs special sauce and fish with al karaon). We got the watered down drinks after 20 mins of placing the order with barely any alcohol and then waited for 45 mins+ to get our main course. During this time, the waiter dint keep us informed about the wait time or anything. Had we known we would have dined else where. We then ordered the dessert banana chocolate and that took another 15 mins to arrive. I doubt it should take 60+ mins to cook fish and lamb at a restaurant. And if thats ur standard then let the people know upfront. Anyways, we loved the food and thought this was one off so decided to stop by to grab food the next day as well before we head off to Sao Paolo.
Day 2: Stopped by in an empty restaurant, upfront placed our order at 5PM and mentioned this is for the trip. We ordered 2 shish touk sandwiches with 1 side of batata. The lady who took the order at the counter mentioned it will take 25 mins and we did let her know we have a flight in 3 hrs so sooner the better and we were okay with 25mins max. We waited for 35 mins and still no sign of our food. We then asked the girl at the counter and she dint seem to know the language or make any effort in giving us updates about our order. Mind you, the restaurant was not full and the inside seating area was empty. She dint even care to ask the kitchen about the order. Finally after 40 mins we got our order and when we checked, we noticed that they have 2 shish touks and no fries as we had paid of it. The bar tender intervened and mentioned it will take 5 mins and he will get it out soon. We waited another 15-20 mins just to get the god damn fries. So second time, again 60+ mins to get 2 sandwiches and 1 side of fries packed. Ridiculous!
Clearly the previous experience was not a one off and this place doesnt value customer service or customers time. Once again the food was great but service is horrible. It cannot take 60+ mins to cook any of the items we ordered above. If you plan to go here account for ample time and please do not go here before a flight otherwise you will not make it for your flight - due to their...
Read moreWhere to start with this review … my family and I decided to give this place a try as it looked promising. We were seated right away however the only available seating was in the mall walkway where everyone walks by and stares at you. We were so hungry that we took it. Our waiter took our order in its entirety right away. The hummus appetizer and drinks came out quickly but everything beyond this was downhill. There were four of us and every single meal came out at a different time. After an hour plus wait for the last meal to come I had to hunt someone down twice for my sister’s vegetable pita shwarma. Our waiter was MIA and would literally avoid us and walk all the way around to address his other tables. When I headed inside to complain one waiter tells me the kitchen is backed up. I honestly don’t know how because none of the food items that were ordered / served were complex in nature. We are talking about a vegetarian pita shawarma, a chicken pita shawarma plate, and a grape leaf platter of sorts for our vegan eater. A very nice waiter ultimately came out and explained our waiter was new, asked what had happened, and apologized. We finally got the last plate after having to hound them for it, and a frustrating dinner experience. This was well after all others in our party had eaten. Upon paying our own waiter finally has the nerve to come over and blame the kitchen. Save yourselves from this place and...
Read moreThe food was amazing. I will return for sure. I got the falafel plate and was very tasty. It need to be a bit fluffier though, but it was tasty.
The resturant has halal dishes with is very nice. Although I went with falafel because I didn't know they serve halal. The atmosphere very calm, with soft Arabic songs. Really recommend it. For dishes, I will update the review once I try several 😉
Well, the update. Ordered kufta and fatosh. The kufta was ok. Didn't like it much, but might be Brazilian adjusted. The fatosh, was good , testy, and favorable. It has too much sauce though. It would be great if the sauce separate so people can choose to add it or not.
The workers very cheerful and...
