From other reviewers, nothing special about this place. I totally agree with their assessment.
They do have a wide selection of meats just like the other place I went to but this was not as well seasoned as the other place. This place just uses salt and pepper. The other place I think has some Asian influence in their seasoning.
Not all the wait staff here speak English but there was one particular waiter who spoke a lot of English and was able to help us a bit. The place was fairly busy when we got here but there were still a lot of empty seats.
The desserts were okay. Some fresh fruit and assorted pastries and cakes.
I think some of the taxi drivers get some kickback or are friends with the owner so the drivers will recommend this place and when you come here, the drivers get a free meal. That's what happened with us. I was originally planning on going to another place but the driver recommended this place and it seemed non-touristy so we came here.
There were a lot of locals here but throughout the meal service, I just felt like I was stuffing meat down my throat. It wasn't particularly tasteful and thus I did not have much of an appetite.
The waiters keep coming over with various types of meats but a lot of their meats were overcooked and when we tried to ask for medium rare or rare pieces, it never came. I also have a suspicion that the local people like their meat more well cooked than us.
I can not whole heartedly recommend this place. Overall, average food for an...
Read moreAn experience, everything but PREMIUM.
I don’t want to rant here but am just sharing my personal experience in the hope of helping other travelers and lovers of good meat to make an informed decision.
For context, I have to say that my only previous Churrascaria was one of the best rated ones in São Paulo so the benchmark was high. That said, this place really left everything to be desired. The interior is a mass tourism food hall (and it was literally filled with buses of travel groups after we arrived) but that’s okay if the food would be just honest and good. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Literally all pieces of meat were chewy, overcooked, and not good in taste. From the only somewhat well prepared piece of beef we saw one tiny slice and then never again. The rest was absolutely low-quality and especially the lamb had a very tangy taste. The buffet was also underwhelming.
The bottle of Sauvignon was drinkable, however, tasted a bit old which could be explained with looking at the date of the bottle being 11/2020.
The service was mixed, there were some really friendly and helpful people but some waiters looked really unfriendly and literally threw the meat on our plate.
Overall, a huge...
