Basically the only Mexican restaurant in the city and also the worst. We dined here 2 times and twice is the limit. We had absolutely the worst time here than in any Mexican restaurant anywhere. Let me tell you the 3 worst things that happened: for a main course, I ordered a beef and cheddar burrito. Aside for it taking forever to be served (the restaurant was “busy”--they had 6 tables with 3 waiters), the burrito did not have refried beans, jalapenos nor cheddar cheese—only rice and dry cubes of beef. We also ordered jalapeno balls for an appetizer, which did not have any jalapeno peppers in them (only potatoes). The biggest and worst sin a restaurant or bar can commit: serve an alcohol that isn't what it is supposed to be. We ordered a shot of Corralejo Blanco tequila and when I tasted it, it was not even tequila—it was cachaça (Brazilian rum). After living in Brazil for several years and having been a bartender for many years, it was obvious to me that it wasn’t even a different tequila but a completely different type of alcoholic beverage. This is unforgivable. I didn’t make a fuss because we were celebrating our wedding anniversary—I just didn’t drink the swill. I not only will not be eating here again (ever), I highly recommend all readers of this review to avoid this restaurant...
Read moreWorst Mexican food ever! I had 3 different items to see if it remotely compared to real Mexican food and this placed failed.
I had a beef burrito. The meat was so overly grossly salted that I could not take a bite again. I only dug at the rice.
I ordered the Al pastor tacos and they were nearly as bad. Overly salted. They must think all Mexican food requires 10x the salt. It was horrible.
The hard shell chicken tacos were very plain and that’s the only thing that wasn’t overly salted.
Really disappointed with the place. Great decor. I really wanted to like the place. Really nice staff. But the food...
Read moreIf you have experienced Mexican food in the USA, this place will be a disappointment. Well, the same if you want authentic Mexican food. If the crew would visit the USA for a week, experiencing quality Mexican food, the restaurant would be transformed. That is, they really don't seem to know what good Mexican food is all about. Same problem with drinks. That said, nothing is too bad. Just expensive and not up to par. In the US, the restaurant would close in a week. Here, perhaps the best Mexican...
