La Tabla Restaurante — Restaurant in Região Geográfica Imediata de Valença

The manager, an argentine woman, was so rude and unprofessional with me and my wife during our visit at the restaurant.

After being changed twice of tables outside, finally when we were ready to order, the manager came and asked us to change the table one more time because her friends argentines, that were seating inside the restaurant, wanted to seat outside in our place. As I said to the employees and to the poor and rude manager if we stand up to give the place to her friends, we would leave the restaurant. After the manager being even more rude, she told us to leave. Then we left. The manager not being happy with us leaving the restaurant, she decided to attack verbally me and my wife. The manager even asked my wife why she was with a man like me. As my wife doesn’t speak nor Spanish neither Portuguese, she wasn’t able to understand one word that she said.

As a good Brazilian, I didn’t like the manager behavior. She needs to be more professional with the tourists because we are the ones that keep the place moving and contributing with her paycheck in the end of the month.

As I was in vacation with my wife, we left and went to the restaurant down in the street called TABULEIRO DA BAIANA. Beautiful restaurant with an amazing and awesome food and atmosphere.

I really recommend the TABULEIRO DA BAIANA restaurant for those tourists that don’t want to be bothered, annoyed with the rude, unfriendly, impolite and disrespectful argentine woman that manages the restaurant.

Obs.: I just took my wife to the restaurant cuz I told her a lot about the place on my last visit to MSP...

Had this restaurant recommended by the owner of the place we were staying at (Pepe @ Pousada Colibri- Thank you!) and it exceeded expectations!!! The food was amazing... and the Chef's Selections were definitely the way to go! The staff were super awesome- they spoke both Portuguese & Spanish as well as having one staff member ( young man named Aleve, i believe?) Who made a huge effort to speak english for me, as I am not very fluent in either of the above languages. His help with the Selections and suggestions made our visit amazing! A ideia do restaurante e o primeiro atendimento é maravilhoso, porém conforme vai passando o tempo você vai percebendo a desorganização. No meio de uma chuva de verão, fizeram uma tremenda bagunça, simplesmente pegando a mesa que eu estava sentado e oferecendo para um casal, fiquei em pé até ofereceram uma segunda mesa para mim. Fiz o pedido de um prato e um tempo depois, me disseram que o mesmo não estava sendo mais oferecido individualmente. Até aí, tudo certo! Escolhi um outro prato e minutos depois, a mesma coisa. Fiz a escolha de um terceiro prato e após mais alguns minutos, o garçom me oferece o primeiro prato novamente falando que conseguiriam fazer individual. Nessa brincadeira toda, passaram-se uns 40 minutos no mínimo. Resumindo: o pedido chegou faltando o arroz e os legumes, fiz o pedido de uma bebida 3x e não fui atendido, e quando chegou o arroz mandaram o tipo errado (era para ser o arroz negro e me serviram o arroz branco)! Sem legumes! Sem bebida!
