The place has a purposeful NE Brazil vibe. Think their cowboy country around Minas Gerais.

A real mixed clientele, suits at one table, tank tops and flip flops at another.

You pick a table AFTER getting your food.

You take a plate and go down either side of two very long cafeteria-style rows. I couldn’t figure out if they are one way or not.

There are small English translations of the Portuguese descriptions of the food items. “carne de sol” is “sun-dried beef.” Think shoe leather. However, you’re bound to find options you like.

Your plate is weighed and you are charged by the #kilo no matter if it’s #picanha or beans.

There are gaucho-themed servers who will take your drink orders at your table using the four-digit number on your card. Yes, they have Diet Coke.

You pay by tapping your cards on machines on the wall on the way out. Then you drop your cards in the slots at the exit turnstiles.

2 of us got out for ~ $30 which included a #mojito and dessert.

I’m dead serious, you can nap in a hammock on your way out.

I’m glad we tried it. Nothing like it in the States. Not sure if I go back. Maybe try the seafood...

A gigantic per kilo restaurant with kind of countryside.. or caipira style.very lofty ceiling, large tables, probably room for a 1000 guests or more.

They serve a large variety of foods, you pick whatever you want, weigh it, bring it to you table and eat. Drinks are served at the table. You may switch outside with a view to the lake or inside. When you enter they'll give you a small plastic card, this you should take good care of, present to anyone giving drinks or when you pick up food. Then at the end, when leaving, you bring this to the cashier and pay everything. Simple.

The absolute best part is the area where they have placed a number of hammocks. After a huge meal, maybe with some caipirinhas or at least beers, you can stumble over and simply lay down for a quick nap in the shade....

Hoje fui com minha família comemorar o aniversário do meu irmão em um almoço na unidade . Já estive lá outras vezes, gosto do ambiente , variedade do cardápio , e atendimento , mas hoje aconteceu um fato que chateou a todos que foram comigo. Saimos de longe para ir até lá fazer a comemoração, e o aniversário do meu irmão foi ontem (01/11) mas fomos hoje (02/11) após a consumação do almoço pedimos a sobremesa cortesia que o aniversariante tinha direito e o atendente que não vou lembrar o nome disse que não poderia dar pois o aniversário tinha passado. Achei muito estranho pois na mesa ao lado por coincidência, tinha uma mãe e uma filha com duas sobremesas cortesia e não vi o mesmo garçom pedindo identificação ou algo do tipo! Fica aí o feedback pra Rede Mangai, pois o valor é bem acima da média, pagamos mais pela experiência do que só por comer ,uma tremenda insatisfação de uma coisa que poderiam sim nos abrir uma exceção ou oferecerem ao invés de perder clientes . Sei que não “irá fazer diferença” pois a clientela é bem vasta , mas o cliente insatisfeito ele divulga a insatisfação para mais pessoas do que uma indicação. Ficamos muito tristes e precisávamos colocar isso aqui, então , se forem comemorar aniversário vão ao OUTBACK, que irão ser fiéis ao atendimento e as cortesias .
