Nikko Japanese Fusion — Restaurant in Região Geográfica Imediata do Recife

I expected more, based on Instagram and reviews. In fact food is ok I guess, the main issue is service that definitely should be improved to allow company to lose money

1. we need to wait in the line right on the street on the chair, I was choked
2. the price is comparable to the good sushi places in Europe, so I'd say it's too expensive as Recife has own ocean to get the fish (not salmon, of course, but some other that's being used in the menu)
3. the atmosphere - it was too cold inside and toooo dark, almost not visible what you're eating, may be it differs depend on the table location, but I think they need to check the light level for all the tables they have first, then can invite the customers
4. service was the main problem you have digital menu on your phone, guy who was our waiter was not welcoming and polite, like he is not happy to serve to us, you need to SAY to the waiter all your order, he PUTS it to his system, he is not repeating the order, in fact he didn't put some positions, so customers can not check the correctness of the order that went to the kitchen in this way they already should create the way when customers order by themselves in the digital menu, avoiding this mess from waiter we read menu carefully and saw the limitations of some dishes, we order accordingly to it, but waiter decline to get the order, saying we are off limit already that was not true, after we asked to check (he is our waiter and need to check all the things like this) and some argue, he agreed that we are right during the process that we were eating, the food that we expected didn't come, we could not reach our waiter, so we asked another one, seems like they didn't receive part of our order (how it can happen really?) when I went to the toilet, I saw kitchen employees without work, taking, same time, our orders were not delivered to our table.... I´m happy I was with my boyfriend, together it's easy to accept and share the experience so we left very not satisfied I'd never recommend to the people to experience this service, and as I see now in the fresh reviews, some people complained about food that's not fresh, so it's not trustful place at all Our visit...

Disclaimer: I’m reviewing it based on an American’s perspective. We got the premium all you can eat. Costing around 140brl, the premium menu includes everything with no limits. But I found the limits on the basic all you can eat menu will fill you up for sure. All seafood are made up/combination of these 5: tuna, White fish, salmon, shrimp, octopus. So as you can see, the variety is an issue for me, things that can be found in the a US sushi buffet: like seaweed and eel, yellowtail, etc are not found here. But every plate had good presentation, the price is up there as well. Overall a good experience, but I might go for the basic menu next time as I didn’t find too much value...

This is one of the best sushi restaurants in recife. Food is incredible. Price is $139 reais per person for all you can eat and it's really worth it. This includes unlimited sashimi. Sashimi is fresh although the pieces are very small. The special rolls are very flavorful and they have amazing variety. Rice was cooked well and they prepare everything very well. Sumono is exceptional and the special rolls with shitake mushrooms on top were the star of the show. Overall very satisfying and savoury options.
