Though difficult to get to (as it’s right at the top of a comunidade), it’s well worth the hike. To get there, get an Uber to the "quadra do esporte", you’ll see a white wall. From there, you’ll need to go up a forested uphill path (which is met with stunning views of Christo and Pão De Açucar) at the top of the path on the right you’ll see a sign which says “Bar Do Tino” (about a 7 minute walk). You’ll have to squeeze through a tiny concrete walkway and you’ll arrive when you see the tile stairs.

Péssimo. Vamos lá. Aqui terá a verdade. Vale NENHUMA ESTRELA. O bar fica no MORRO DOS PRAZERES, uma das comunidades violentas do RJ. O acesso é horrível e ninguém do estabelecimento vai te buscar. Ou seja, tu tem que está no seu dia de sorte e protegido pelo criador, pra nada te acontecer. A vista é linda. Mas essa você não precisa se arriscar pra vê. Esse lance de reserva não funciona. Tive que esperar horas, pq já tinham acabado mas ficaram de papo, na mesa. O serviço é péssimo. Pessoas mal humoradas (só atendem bem, quem não pergunta nada ou é gringo). Nada sabem te informar, nada sobre o que tem ou não, do cardápio. Zero atenção. Tu chega e fica lá, com cara de paisagem, perdido. No mínimo deveriam te oferecer uma água, sem vc pedir pelo tanto que tu anda. A comida, a única coisa que dá o tempero é o feijão. Pq se vc comer separadamente é HORRÍVEL. Agora entendi pq o prêmio, foi há mais de 10 anos atrás. Sem falar que muitos ingredientes não tem. Ex: pedi uma carne de sol. Mas não tinha aipim. Pedi então pra substituir o arroz pelo grão de bico. Levei um não. Queridos nós que nos contentamos com o que eles querem nos servir. E demora. Como demora. Bebida quente. Ambiente desorganizado e a fumaça fica na nossa cara. Péssimo. Não caiam nessa desses blogueiros, que ganham pra falar bem ou são acostumados com qlqr coisa.

We loved our visit to Bar do Tino! We were made to feel very welcome and the food is delicious and plentiful. The view over Rio is absolutely stunning and we happily sat there drinking beers and looking out over the mountains all afternoon.

On a practical note, it is at the top of a very steep hill on the edge of a favela so getting there is a little challenging (but also part of the adventure!). I’d recommend dropping the owner (Tino) a message so that you don’t get lost - +55...
