My experience during my stay : Positive : The Food is ok and the drinks are quite affordable The restaurant team was overall very nice even if they may need some training on good service (when to ask a customer if he wants another drink, smile, know the products...)

Negative : I had to struggle to get the invoice and the All Points after my stay Directions in the hotel are a mess. I had a serious incident on the wet stairs in the night (no light + rain) Stairs are not adapted for this use outside...No team member offered help to find the room nor took care of the incident after it happend. I would not recommend this hotel, for safety/security issues. There are way better Accor hotels in Rio ! Restaurant Emergency exit was...

This square during its golden era belonged to important Brazilian people and foreigners that wanted to live close to all social events and festivities Rio always offered. It's one of few places that you can still see the Carioca River bordering the square. Its colorful neocolonial buildings still attracts visitors from all around but unfortunately it's decaying fast. It used to be more interesting. Now, unless you are staying in the hotel that encompasses all the little houses there, it is not that interesting any more.
