If you value your time, don’t go here! And unfortunately it’s a simple lack of organisation and common sense.
Since I didn’t have my phone, I sat there and observed them for the hour it took to get my order: They treat each order separately and only one order at a time. One person makes the coffee, one person the food, and another brings you the order and they do NOT help the others. You ordered one coffee? Tough luck! You have to sit there while they process the order of each table before you. It is apparently impossible to make three coffees at one go (funnily enough, their coffee machine is big enough to handle multiple orders). The coffee only arrives with the food, even if it means it sits there for a while. I watched my food and coffee sit there on the counter for a good 7 minutes while the service lady was scrambling (in slow motion) to get cutlery because they had run out of cutlery on the counter (none of the others helped). What was really funny was that she got 4 packs of cutlery, so I’m sure she would run into the same problem after one order.
They do however make you pay up front, so there is no way to say thank you but please cancel the order, this is taking too long.
Apart from all this, what I find extremely strange is that each knife and fork gets a paper pack, so does each paper napkin. Why? If cutlery is clean, it’s clean and napkins don’t need protection. This is just so wasteful! Why are you creating more garbage for no reason? I very much doubt you...
Read moreVisited twice at the end of a vacation in Brazil in Jan. '25. Saturday visit was late morning and the place was fairly busy. I ordered the cookies and cream frappe and misto quente. I waited maybe 20 minutes. The service could've been a little faster but the wait wasn't as bad as previous reviewers have reported. My second visit was at opening (8am) the next day, Sunday. There was hardly anyone else there. Service was helpful but again could be slightly faster. Unfortunately, that's just kinda how it is with table service in Brazil. Thankfully they have a US style 'pay ahead' system so you don't have to get their attention and wait in line AGAIN when trying to pay and leave. The food and coffee was...
Read moreI’ve been to this cafe a couple of times and always thought it was a cute spot with good food. However, my most recent visit left me disappointed. I asked for more vanilla in my matcha and was told there would be an extra charge, which I was completely fine with.
After paying, they said the syrup had already been added, but I didn’t see it happen—and when I tasted the drink, it was still quite bitter. When I asked if they could add a bit more, the staff seemed noticeably unhappy to help, even though I had already paid for it. It made the whole experience feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming.
I really wanted to love this place, but that interaction has made me...
