Clássico Beach Club Urca — Restaurant in Região Geográfica Imediata do Rio de Janeiro

We tried to make a reservation (as advertised on their website) via WhatsApp and Instagram and were told by both forms of communication that we could not make a reservation/booking. We arrived at 19:30 and were told the kitchen was closed and we could only have beer, no other food or drink, - advertised closing time is 20:10. At this stage they were packing up the restaurant around us. Despite us arriving later in the evening than planned (huge queues for the cable car) we were looking forward to something to eat while taking in the atmosphere of the restaurant and sugar loaf. We had a beer reluctantly and were hurried to pay once we sat down. We also noted many “reserved” signs around for booked tables - clearly not the reality that the restaurant admin had told us. We had a bad experience with this place, we visited and had some drinks and food. I ordered the food which took a long time to arrive and when the waiter brought the food it was cold not even warm, the beef and chips absolutely cold they must have been cooked 1 hr ago from the serving time, I asked the waiter and she took it back to the kitchen, she then asked if I wanted new food cooked and I said yes, the beef then was fresh and well cooked, the chips never turn up, I got annoyed after another 30 minutes waiting I called the same waiter and she immediately went and got the chips, I refused to have it because it was 30 minutes after i send them back, I asked to pay the bill and left. DECEPCIONANTE!

A única coisa que salva e diminui o estresse de estar ali é a vista. O local é lindo, mas n compensa!

Fomos ao local pra almoçar e ao chegar lá falamos com uma moça que fica na entrada. Ela pediu que aguardássemos em uma mesa no canto pois havia uma fila de espera. Meu noivo perguntou como era feito o controle das mesas, se precisava colocar o nome em alguma lista, pois não estávamos vendo ngm além de nós aguardando e ela responde que eles tinham o controle da fila (e n respondeu como).

Pouco tempo depois um garçom nos informou que havia uma mesa embaixo e apesar de querermos ficar na parte de cima, resolvemos ir pra mesa de baixo pois estávamos com fome!

Ao chegar na mesa, só havia lugar pra 2 pessoas e muito mal posicionada e nós estávamos em 3 pessoas. Por sorte, havia uma família desocupando uma mesa e ficamos lá.

Qdo vimos uma mesa em cima desocupando, falamos com o garçom pra trocar e ele falou que n podia pq n estávamos na fila 😑, que ele havia nos encaixado ali naquela mesa, mas que havia outras pessoas antes de nós. Retrucamos e falamos que estávamos na fila desde sempre (isso só prova a falta de controle das filas, o que já imaginávamos). Sem acordo, permanecemos na mesa que estávamos.

Pedimos 3 saladas que demoraram uma eternidade. Questionamos 2x sobre a demora do pedido e ngm dava uma resposta. Pedimos 2 chopps que vieram quase quentes e devido a baita demora do almoço, qdo a comida chegou eles já estavam completamente quente. A salada estava boa, acho que foi o melhor custo benefício, pois n era tão cara. Pedimos gelo pra colocar no refrigerante do meu noivo e só fomos atendidos depois de pedir QUATRO VEZES a 4 garçons diferentes, e tendo que ser grossos pra ser atendidos pois a paciência já tava no ralo... tudo isso num calor INFERNAL! Pedimos temperos pra a salada e só colocaram um azeite na mesa, minha amiga teve que levantar e pedir outros temperos(vinagre e pimenta do reino)que ela viu que tinha no local. Enfim... Péssimo atendimento, caríssimo e deixa MUITO a desejar. Eles agem como se todo cliente fosse passar uma única vez ali, então parecem não se importar com a qualidade. Importa que paguem pelo serviço e pronto! No fim, não pagamos a taxa de serviço pq seria uma piada e eu...
